Since the news broke that Christie Brinkley's ex-husband, Peter Cook, is engaged, to 21-year-old, Alba Jancou, fans of the supermodel have wondered about the life of the young woman who is the same age as the daughter — Sailor Brinkley-Cook — of her 60-year-old fiancé.

WHO IS ALBA JANCOU?

Jancou is a student at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, and based on her now-deleted LinkedIn profile; she won't be graduating for another two years.

She is studying psychology and had her high school education at a prestigious unisex boarding school, Millfield, located in Southern England.

The newly-engaged young woman resides mostly in New York City when she's not in school, and is part of the elite social circle, with an invite to top social events in the Big Apple. She reportedly met Cook at a top New York restaurant, Le Bilboquet.

WHO ARE HER PARENTS?

Jancou is the daughter of divorced art gallery owners, Tanya Bonakdar, and Marc Jancou. The former owns two self-titled galleries, one in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, and another in Los Angeles, which she opened in 2018.

Marc owns Marc Jancou Contemporary Art Gallery in New York, Switzerland, and London. The engaged coed is the only child from the couple's marriage, and they fund most of her privileged lifestyle.

RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE

Jancou's relationship with Cook began about a year ago, and during the summer, their relationship became more evident with public appearances at some of the top parties in the Hamptons. The two attended the Hamptons Classic Horse Show Grand Prix, and Bobby Flay's Hamptons Magazine cover party.

The architect proposed to his fiancée during a trip to Santorini, Greece, in September. He used a 6-carat diamond ring by Glen Bradford and popped the question in front of a church. He told People about his engagement,

"We are very happy."

Cook equally described Jancou as his soulmate in a statement to Page Six, and his upcoming nuptials will be his third walk down the aisle.

The dad-of-two married Brinkley in '96, and they were together until 2008. Afterward, he married a younger woman, Suzanne Shaw, but they divorced in 2014.

The engaged couple is planning a destination wedding to Europe, and in the meantime, Jancou will have her hands full with school and wedding planning.
