'The Goldbergs' Cast's Real-Life Partners - Meet Them All

The popular television show "The Goldbergs" is a period sitcom. It premiered on September 24, 2013, on ABC.

The series was created by Adam F. Goldberg. It as a stellar cast including Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, George Segal, and Jeff Garlin.

Earlier this year, the show was renewed for a seventh season. Here is a look at the real-life partners of the cast.

Wendi McLendon-Covey & Greg Covey

Wendi married Greg Covey and regularly shows off their loving relationship. In an interview with People magazine she said:

“Right this moment. I have a really nice husband who has been refilling my coffee for the last hour and a half. I’m eating in front of the TV and catching up on emails, and he’s been refilling coffee and just being sweet.”

Hayley Orrantia & Brandon Pelletier

Hayley Orrantia and former Marine Brandon Pelletier first met on the set of "The Goldbergs" in October 2015. They began a long-distance relationship. They eventually fell in love.

However, their story came to a halt when a year and a half later Haley made the horrifying discovery that he was betraying her. She reportedly realized he stole almost $9,000 through fraudulent credit card charges and bank withdrawals. She said:

“It was heartbreaking,” she adds. “I thought we were going to get married one day.”

George Segal & Sonia Schultz

While George Segal's marriage to Sonia Schultz Greenbaum is his third marriage, theirs is a love story that started much earlier. The pair met at George School boarding school.

They were classmates in 1948. However, they were only married in 1996 in Los Angeles and are still together to this day.

Jeff Garlin & Marla Garlin

Jeff Garlin and his ex-wife were married for 23 years before he filed for divorce in 2017. He cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of separation as the day after their 23rd wedding anniversary.

Jeff and Marla had tied the knot in July 1994 and share two sons together: James, 22, and Duke, 18. Since both children were over 18 there was no custody battle involved.

Sam Lerner & Olivia Sui

Sam Lerner is dating Chinese born Olivia Sui. Before meeting Lerner, she dated James Law, a photographer, from 2013 to 2018.

He featured regularly on her social media however, they broke up in April 2018. She went on to date Lerner and has moved in with him.
