Tika Sumpter of 'Mixed-ish' and Her Adorable Family Dress up in 'Frozen'-Inspired Costumes for Halloween
Tika Sumpter and her adorable family have us in love with Halloween costumes that pay tribute to the hit Disney animated film "Frozen." It also doesn’t hurt that we got to see a rare photo of the actress's family.
Sumpter has a reputation for keeping her family and personal matters out of the spotlight, but she graciously made an exception for the spooky holiday.

The "Mixed-ish" star took to Instagram with pictures of her fiancé, Nick James, and their daughter Ella-Loren, in cute costumes.
"I fell in love with who I fell in love with, and that’s the end of the story. But you’re not going to play him."
In one snapshot of the whole clan, fans got to see Sumpter in her Anna costume -- complete with red hair and pigtails -- while Ella nailed her part as the blonde ice queen, Princess Elsa.

James, appropriately, is dressed as Kristoff, Anna’s love interest from the 2013 film. A second photo shows Sumpter appearing to wipe something off her daughter’s face while the latter held a wand.
"Do you wanna build a snowmannnnn??" the actress captioned her post, referencing one of the hit songs from the movie soundtrack. Fans in the comment section were all for Sumpter and her family’s costumes and shared their sentiments freely.
"So precious!!!! Love you guys!!" one Instagram user said.
"OMG...The cutest costumes ever!" gushed another. "Beautiful Family!"
A third fan made a witty play on Sumpter's caption, saying: "I have never wanted to build a snowman more in my life!"
Besides the fact that the actress and her family look oh-so-gorgeous, this is perhaps the only time Sumpter has shared a picture of all three. The "Nobody’s Fool" star takes extra care to shield her family from the spotlight, and that includes social media.
For the longest time, fans had no idea Sumpter was even dating James, her "Haves and the Have Nots" co-star. It wasn’t until June 2017, seven months after their daughter was born that she revealed his identity.
As it turned out, Sumpter was justified in the decision to keep her family under wraps. No sooner had she unveiled James' identity than internet trolls began bashing her for being with a white man.
Last year, some even went as far as sharing the photo of a young actor with acne. He was also named Nick James, so the ignorant ones assumed it was Sumpter's husband.
"Nope. Fixed it," the actress replied, sharing a photo of herself with her fiancé and scolding the naysayer. "PS. The kid in pic looks super sweet. Do better."
Sumpter has also made it clear that although she may choose to ignore the haters' antics, once in a while, she will fight back.
"I fell in love with who I fell in love with. And that’s the end of the story, but you’re not going to play him [James], and you’re not going to play me. I may be cute and sweet, but I will clap back."
James and Sumpter got engaged after a Christmas proposal by the actor in 2016 and have been going strong ever since.
The actress revealed in a September interview that she was once scared of being in a relationship and having kids, so it’s heartwarming to see her glowing with the family she has now. You go, Tika!
