As reported by PEOPLE, Jenna revealed on Thursday’s episode of her show that it was her mom, Laura Bush, that made her juicy fruit costume out of a cardboard box.

The throwback photo, however, wasn’t all that that went down for the spooky holiday. The mother-of-three took part in the usual trick-or-treating tradition of the day.

According to PEOPLE, Jenna employed the help of her colleague and close pal Savannah Guthrie and her husband Michael Feldman to take the kids from door-to-door.

The television host shared photos from the day on Instagram, and it showed her, Savannah, and all the kids, including her 3-month-old son, Hal, having a good time. Unfortunately, daddy Henry was away on a business trip and couldn’t be a part of the chocolate hunting.

Bush captioned the photo:

“Happy HAL-oween (get the pun there??) from our cat family—minus Daddy cat who was away for work. Neighbor, trick-or-treating tradition with @savannahguthrie (thank goodness a sister wife to help wrangle!)”

Jenna’s kids dressed as a ballerina and a cat while baby Hal stole the show in a presidential outfit. Guthrie’s daughter opted for a Frida Kahlo look while her son went as little Charley from “Thomas the Train.”

Both mothers, however, kept their costumes simple with Jenna donning glasses with cat ear props and false whiskers. Despite still being on maternity leave, Jenna popped on the show on Thursday for some Halloween celebration.

She also announced during the surprise visit that she would be returning from her maternity leave on November 11. Jenna and her husband Henry welcomed their third child, Henry “Hal” Harold, on August 5.
