The big news was shared on Twitter by “Today” Show with a clip that saw Hora Kotb and other hosts, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer, welcoming her.

As revealed by PopCulture, the clip began with Hodges telling the audience who were situated outside 30 Rock that they were looking to someone named Jenna from Texas.

To the surprise of fans, Jenna walked on amid the fans cheering her back on the show. Announcing her return, Kotb said:

“Y'all, if you didn't know, Jenna Bush Hager is back from maternity leave. Today is her first day on the 10 o'clock show."

Jenna was, no doubt, excited to be back with her fans as she joked about her new co-host, saying:

“We’re reunited! We haven’t been on the show together but five days! It feels like it’s time.”

Although Jenna to get back to work, her joy didn’t match that of her co-host Kotb who confessed to calling Jenna at 4:45 am that morning to wake her up in preparation of the big day.

Bush confirmed this truth saying:

“She was my alarm, and I have to say, what a positive way to wake up — being surrounded [by] y’all!”

The hype of Jenna’s return didn’t stop at Hoda, calling her to wake her up.

According to Page Six, the co-hosts reunited before the official day, to have fun with a scavenger hunt around Rockefeller Center.

A source present at the event revealed that Hoda and Jenna dressed in matching blue hoodies and ball caps as they engaged in different challenges.

Jenna welcomed her third child and first son with husband Henry Hager, back in August. According to PEOPLE, the boy, who was named Henry Harold “Hal” Hager, weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 19.29 inches at birth.

Baby Hal joins his big sisters Poppy Louise and Margaret “Mila” Laura.
