Evelyn Braxton of 'Braxton Family Values' Shares Photos with Her Son Michael on His 51st Birthday

Evelyn Braxton had a special birthday message for her son Michael Braxton, Jr. who lost his daughter earlier this year. Besides showering him with love, she gave him one meaningful advice.

Evelyn Braxton’s only son, Michael Braxton, Jr. turned 51 and the Braxton matriarch had loving words for him on his special day.

A YEAR OLDER, A DAUGHTER LESS

Michael has had a tough year with the death of his daughter, Lauren Braxton in April. So Evelyn’s message for him which she delivered through a hashtag was "#LookAtGod."

Lauren was reportedly close to her family, proof of which was her Instagram posts which she flooded with moments with them.

The loving mom took to her Instagram and shared photos of her and Michael as well as one with Michael and his son, Michael Braxton III who also celebrated his birthday last month.

In her caption, she wrote,

“Happy birthday to My one and only Wonderful Son @mikeybraxton Mommy Loves you so much and may your day today be nothing short of Amazing #LookAtGod”

Michael's sisters, Toni and Trina Braxton also remembered him on his birthday with their respective "I love you" posts on social media.

LAUREN'S DEATH

The very private son of Evelyn made headlines earlier this year when he confirmed the death of his daughter. At the time, he revealed Lauren had died of a heart condition.

Lauren, who left behind a one-year-old son was discovered unresponsive in her home in Maryland on April 29. Paramedics who responded to a 911 call from her home pronounced her dead when they got there.

While her cause of death had been established by Michael at the time, it was revealed two months later that Lauren died of a heroin overdose and fentanyl intoxication. This was the findings of Maryland’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. It was not determined how Lauren ingested the drugs.

The entire Braxton clan grieved Lauren’s death including her famous aunts, Toni, Tamar, Trina, Traci, and Towanda. Lauren was reportedly close to her family, proof of which was her Instagram posts which she flooded with moments with them. She was especially close to her grandmother who would often grace her posts.

LIFE GOES ON

But while her family continues to mourn her death, they also continue to celebrate life. Last month, Evelyn and Trina treated shoppers at a Costco branch to a fun show when they did an impromptu karaoke session to the tune of Toni’s “Another Sad Love Song.”

A clip from that fun moment revealed mother and daughter testing a karaoke machine from a rack. Each held a mic and tried to do their best to carry Toni’s tune. Evelyn was evidently grasping for the lyrics while Trina seemed to master the song more.

But more than their skill, it was the fact that they made an ordinary shopping day extraordinary just by giving in to their playful side.
