Singer and actress Miley Cyrus debuted a fresh cut, which her hairstylist is describing as a "modern mullet."

Miley's selfie sporting her brand-new hairstyle, which appears to be a modern version of a mullet, spreads rapidly and widely on the Internet through social media.

As reported by Pop Culture, Miley, who had a generally wholesome public persona in the early years of her showbiz career, posted the selfie to her Instagram story recently.

This photograph comes as Miley is recovering from vocal cord surgery.

It isn't the most radical shift from her blonde hair, but it's still a stunning look for the "Wrecking Ball" singer.

In the image, the 27-year-old is also seen wearing a sweater with white, brown, black, and green stripes highlighted by a gold pin.

PROBLEM WITH HER VOCAL CORDS

This photograph comes as Miley is recovering from vocal cord surgery.

A lot of sources confirmed to People that when the artist was hospitalized for a tonsil issue in October, she found out another issue with her vocal cords.

Miley, who is generally viewed as one of the best performers in adulthood that started as a child star, was informed that she would need to have the medical procedure before the year's end.

She was also told that the recovery process would include several weeks of silence. Because of the issue, the former Disney Channel star has needed to put recording and performing on hold.

NEW LOVE LIFE

Miley is currently in a relationship with Cody Simpson, 22, and the couple are taking their romance to the next level, according to Hollywood Life.

Miley and Cody have been practically inseparable since they were spotted kissing at Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles on October 2.

The pair announced that they were in a committed and passionate relationship, after being friends for years prior.

IRRECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES

On December 23, 2018, Miley tied the knot with actor Liam Hemsworth, 29, in a private wedding ceremony in their home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Miley announced their separation on August 10, 2019. Eleven days later, Hemsworth filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Hemsworth began his career in 2007 with guest appearances on the shows "Home and Away" and "McLeod's Daughters." He is the ambassador of the Australian Childhood Foundation.
