Pregnant San Diego Woman Shantel Carrillo Says Ultrasound Looks like Late Dad Kissing Her Unborn Baby
Shantel Carrillo, from San Diego, claimed her ultrasound photograph shows her late father kissing her unborn daughter.
On November 18, Shantel, 30, went to her routine ultrasound appointment, as reported by NBC San Diego.
"It looks like the bill of his hat and his lips are just touching hers so perfectly."
The mom-to-be and her partner, Bryce Vinson, were so glad to see their baby's face. The couple truly didn't notice anything else in the ultrasound picture.
Shantel then took to social media to share the 20-week ultrasound, and a lot of her friends were quick to notice something strange.
In an interview with NBC San Diego, she said, "Right when I posted it, like 30 seconds later, someone's like, 'There's an angel kissing your baby!'"
Shantel believed that her late father, Chuck, can be seen kissing her daughter in the womb. It shows a figure in the top left corner, which she believes resembles her father, who died in 2016.
"It has his nose, his little chubby cheeks, his little double chin, and my dad wore a hat like all the time. It looks like the bill of his hat and his lips are just touching hers so perfectly," Shantel explained.
The scan was posted along with a photo of her father holding her first daughter, Myree. According to Shantel, her father would be "over the moon" to now be part of the life of her second child.
While she added it could be that her placenta resembles her father, she is very happy with the special image. Her daughter is due in April, which is also the same month her father was born.
Ultrasounds have a way of twisting what viewers are seeing. In England, a baby named Isla Langham rocked out in her mother's womb by giving the "sign of the horns" during an ultrasound.
People reported that Isla's parents Jodie Lee and Davie Langham had been playing their child Motown hits and songs by Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli by resting headphones on Jodie's bump all through her pregnancy.
"Isla showed her love of music before she even arrived and now she's our little rock chick," said Jodie.

She added that at first, Isla was covering her face for the scan. However, she poked her belly and requested, "'Can you just show Mummy and Daddy that you're okay?' As soon as I said that she put her hand up.'"
Jodie and Davie were fascinated with their little girl's sonogram.
