Chris Brown Officially Confirms Child with Ammika Harris and Reveals His Name in a Sweet Post

Last month saw singer Chris Brown make headlines after news of the likely arrival of a new child with former girlfriend Ammika Harris broke out.

Although the details of the pregnancy and birth were sketchy, fans had some of their doubts cleared with an Instagram post made by Brown, according to PEOPLE.

The publication reported that the singer uploaded an image of himself smiling down on what was speculated to be his newborn.

The rumors were further strengthened by the caption that followed the photo, which read:

"11-20-2019".

The caption is believed to be Brown's newborn's date of birth.

However, the singer has now made a gesture that appears to have cleared all speculations.

On Wednesday, he made an Instagram post that featured a black and white photo of what appeared to be him holding a baby's foot. Thus, officially confirming his newborn.

Brown also followed up the photo with a caption that revealed the name of the child.

He wrote on Instagram:

"AEKO CATORI BROWN."

Since the post's upload, it has garnered over 1.7 million likes and thousands of comments. Popular social media outlets such as SHADE ROOM have also taken it as a cue to announce the arrival of the newborn.

Interestingly, DAILYMAIL has been able to tie Brown's new post to a previous one, where he subtly revealed the pronunciation of his newborn's name.

As reported by the outlet, Brown shared a post that featured a photo of himself in a Dickies jacket alongside a caption that read: "RORO & AEKO (ECHO)"

'RORO' is believed to be the nickname for his five-year-old daughter, Royalty, while 'AEKO' is his newborn's name. The '(ECHO)' that was shared alongside it stands for the pronunciation.

Aeko's arrival is coming months after parents: Chris Brown and Ammika Harris split earlier this year.

However, there are speculations that the baby might reignite a romantic affair between the pair.

PEOPLE reported the singer to have been leaving comments such as "my baby mama" on Harris' previous posts.
