Miley Cyrus Slammed by Netizens for Being 'Very Rude' and 'Disrespectful' at Signing Event
A night that was meant to celebrate a new musical milestone for the singer has sparked a heated backlash instead.
On June 21, 2025, fans gathered in London for what was supposed to be an exciting chance to meet Miley Cyrus and supermodel Naomi Campbell during a vinyl signing event for Cyrus' new single, "Every Girl You've Ever Loved." Unfortunately, the event quickly turned sour in the eyes of many social media spectators, as a clip surfaced showing the pop star's aloof behavior toward a fan.

During the signing session, Cyrus and Campbell were seated together, chatting and laughing. When a fan approached the table, Cyrus offered a brief smile but continued her private conversation with Campbell.

She then told the individual it was nice to meet them and smiled for the camera, before resuming her exchange with Campbell. A second later, the fan walked away quietly.
Following the event, on June 22, Cyrus posted a carousel of photos and videos, showing her and Campbell hugging, laughing, and sitting at the signing table.

She also expressed appreciation to those who attended the signing and encouraged others to check out the vinyl release.
It was on this Instagram post that many netizens voiced their disappointment over how the event was handled. One person wrote, "Sorry to everyone who went and got a photo with them talking to one another 😂," while another said, "The way you ignored your fans lol."
More pointed criticisms followed, including comments like, "Treat your fans better next time," and another that declared, "Girl you were very rude to your fans at this signing."
Some took issue with both women's attitudes during the event. One person called out, "Absolutely shocking behaviour of you pair on the signing... These are your fans Miley, they can quickly change their minds [sic]."

Cyrus has not responded to the backlash as of this writing. However, in a separate post from June 23, she shared several more pictures of herself at another event, this time highlighting what appeared to be warm moments with attendees.
The images featured her smiling, talking to, and posing with fans, which painted a rather different picture than the clip that circulated online from last Saturday.

The caption read, "Getting lost in London… dancing with you all to the music was heaven. I've never experienced the film like this before. Something Beautiful the visual releases in cinemas internationally June 27."
This promotional weekend was part of a broader rollout for Miley Cyrus' latest project. She had announced her album "Something Beautiful" on June 9 in an Instagram video that featured clips from the accompanying musical film and parts of an interview with the singer. In the caption, she noted the U.S. release would be June 12.
Meanwhile, during the interview, she praised Campbell as "an incredible spirit" and added, "They say, 'Don’t meet your heroes.' Well, that doesn’t work on Naomi Campbell because she is more beautiful even in person. And more than just the beauty, she is like from another planet [sic]."
Additionally, after the film's June 12 premiere, Cyrus posted several photos from the night, including one where she also spoke to the fans waiting to see the film.

In the caption, she reflected, "It was so surreal to see each of you in your velvet seats tonight, awaiting the arrival of Something Beautiful, a project I've poured myself into for years. This is more than a movie to me, it's a manifesto for my way of life from this moment on."
Whether the footage from her fan-meeting event reflects a one-off misstep or signals a deeper disconnect with her audience, the moment has added an unexpected wrinkle to what was meant to be a celebratory release.
