LeBron James Surprises Students at His I Promise School with Ride on the Polar Express
NBA Superstar and LA Lakers Point Guard, LeBron James, is putting smiles on the faces of third graders at his "I Promise School" by taking them on a trip on the Polar Express.
Christmas is a season for giving, and basketball star, LeBron James is keying into the spirit of the season. The sensational NBA star has given students at his "I Promise School" a treat of a lifetime by giving them a special ride on the Polar Express.
LeBron James' Family Foundation opened the "I Promise" School last summer as an addition to his Akron Public Schools. This Christmas, the star has taken time to ensure that students of the school have a memorable Christmas.

LeBron sent 3rd graders of the school on a magical trip to the North Pole on-board the Polar Express. The journey is a tradition that is part of the basketballer's Family Foundation and has been on for seven years.
The school tweeted about the trip, adding pictures that showed the faces of many of the excited kids embarking on the journey to the North Pole. The caption to the tweet read:
"An @LJFamFoundation & @KingJames tradition for the past 7 years. [emoji] The magic that lives in our own backyard is just a stone's throw away and one to experience with the whole family. [emoji] #WeAreFamily."
One of the photos posted by "I Promise School" showed an excited 3rd grader holding his ticket, and smiling excitedly, while another showed the children assembled for a group photo.
The school offers parents of these children an opportunity to finish high school, and upon graduation, free tuition to the University of Akron.
The kids wore blue T-shirts, which had the inscription, "WE ARE FAMILY" written on them. The experience is surely one that these children would never forget as could be gauged from their happy faces.
The school also tweeted a video showing the 3rd Graders in the Polar Express. The video showed the kids as they all waved, danced, and played excitedly on their way to the North Pole.
In the caption to the video, "I Promise School" stated the good gesture that LeBron James had done for the 3rd graders, tweeting:
"Mr. LeBron sent his 3rd graders on the Polar Express for a magical journey to the North Pole! [emojis] #WeAreFamily."
LeBron James has invested millions of dollars into the "I Promise School," which was created for at-risk children. The school offers parents of these children an opportunity to finish high school, and upon graduation, free tuition to the University of Akron.
The school's attendees also receive free breakfast, lunch, and snacks as well as a free bicycle. "I Promise School" runs from July to May, and embarks on STEM-based camps during summer.

Lebron James' Christmas treat for these children is a laudable act that should be embraced by others, especially in this season of love. Kudos to him.
