The Luc Besson-directed film was perfect for Bruce Willis to star in for his serious facade that had a goal to help save the earth. He later went on to direct the "Taken" films, which became massive successes around the globe.

"The Fifth Element" was released in 1997, yet many still remember the storyline and actors that made the movie easily a crowd-favorite. Here's a look at the cast after the film premiered.

BRUCE WILLIS

Besson already knew that Willis was the perfect actor to play the starring role but was concerned about the price he would come with, given he was already a notable actor in his three "Die Hard" films, "Pulp Fiction," and "12 Monkeys."

However, the actor approached him and worked through the budget, including having a deal with the production team. According to the star, he liked the script of the film and thought it would be fun.

In 2019, the actor's daughter, Tallulah Belle, paid tribute to her father's famous movie by dressing up as one of the characters, Leeloo, during Halloween. A snap of her outfit was posted on Instagram.
