While teasers for the upcoming "Bad Boys for Life" movie have stated it to be "one last ride" for the cop buddies, it seems Sony Studios has other plans for it, particularly a fourth installment for the hit movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Bremner, who produced and worked on the "Bad Boys for Life" script, has been tapped to write another one for the movie's fourth installment which will come sooner rather than later.

ONE MORE SEQUEL ON THE WORKS

Of course, the "Bad Boys" movie franchise's fourth installment will come sooner than how the third did, as there was a huge time lag between "Bad Boys II" and "Bad Boys for Life." This is because "Bad Boys for Life" had a stellar opening weekend.

Since being released, the movie garnered positive reviews, and despite its "one last time" tagline, its ending left quite a lot of room for another sequel.

Before "Bad Boys for Life" premiered, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were given their very own police badges with honorary titles in Miami.

GETTING THE KEYS TO THE CITY

In the popular "Bad Boys" franchise, the pair stars as Miami cops Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey. After years of playing their characters, they have officially been named honorary members of the Miami Police Department, much to their delight.

"Been rockin' with Miami for over 25 years and today me and [Martin Lawrence] got the keys to the city and were officially made honorary Miami Police officers!!"

Now with their movie release in full-swing, fans are left wanting more. Thanks to news of a fourth installment for the film, it seems they're about to get what they're praying for and will have to wait just a little bit longer for yet another sequel.
