Tyler Perry Mourns Death of His Friend Stacey Porter in Touching Post
Tyler Perry is grieving the loss of his longtime friend, Stacey Porter. In a heartbreaking social media post, the actor/filmmaker mourned his "biggest cheerleader" who appears to have passed on as a result of ill health.
Perry has never been one to hide his feelings or past struggles, and losing a dear friend has to be one of the worst pains anyone can experience. While not much was known about Porter until now, Perry reveals she was with him at the start of his career.

"My heart breaks today at the death of my dear friend," the studio founder began alongside a photo of the late Porter. "I keep thinking about all the times we laughed and cried and prayed and believed!!"
While there’s been a lot of buzz about the production, the reviews, and public reaction have been mostly negative.
Perry revealed that Porter was a committed supporter of his career and would assist in working on his plays. He called Porter his "biggest cheerleader" and recalled how she would bring him up to speed with "pop news and gossip."

Unfortunately, it seems Porter was suffering from an undisclosed ailment, as Perry said:
"Not long ago, I went to visit her and sat there wanting to hear her laugh or tell me about anything that was going on in the world. Although she couldn’t, I know she knew that David and Tamela Mann and myself were by her side. I can’t believe you’re gone."

Perry finished his caption by encouraging fans not to take for granted any "living Staceys" in their lives. "Love is the best gift you can give!!" he emphasized.
For Perry, who previously opened up about his abusive childhood, having someone like Porter in his corner must have meant the world to him. As such, it’s not surprising that the "Madea" creator is heartbroken over her demise.
Fans and colleagues took to the comment section with condolences for Perry as he mourned his late friend. "Sorry for your loss. Sending u love and hugs," said Bresha Webb, who recently starred in Perry’s "A Fall From Grace."
"She may be gone in flesh, but in the spirit, she's still with you, Tyler Perry," another Instagram user consoled while a third person wrote: "Such kind words. Sorry for your loss. I’ll keep you in my prayers."
Perry’s loss comes on the heels of his Netflix debut, "A Fall From Grace." Per Refinery29, the film is about a woman who confesses to murdering her husband and a lawyer desperate to unravel the possible conspiracy involved.
Perry’s first made-for-Netflix movie casts "The Haves and The Have Nots" actress Crystal Fox in her first-ever leading role alongside Webb and Hollywood legends like Cicely Tyson and Phylicia Rashad.
While there’s been a lot of buzz about the production, the reviews, and public reaction have been mostly negative. Fans on Twitter have complained about a wide range of issues, from hideous wigs to editing and continuity errors.
The reviews have not all been bad, however, as some Twitter users – even Tyler Perry skeptics – confessed they found it enjoyable. Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers are with Perry and all of Porter's loved ones during this difficult time.
