Tatum O'Neal from 'Paper Moon' Gives Health Update Amid Rheumatoid Arthritis Battle
Tatum O’Neal is giving fans a positive update about her Rheumatoid Arthritis battle with a new Instagram post.
Amid Tatum O’Neal’s intense battle with rheumatoid arthritis, the actress is giving her fans a breath of relief with her recent update.

Yesterday, the “Paper Moon” star took to her Instagram to assure her fans that she was in good spirits and doing fine.
The actress shared a selfie of herself and explained that her condition was “slowly trending better.”
Tatum also explained that although she doesn’t post selfies anymore, she made an exception this time because she didn’t want people worrying about her. She ended the post with a series of hashtags about being a warrior and a fighter.
Many of Tatum’s lovers rushed to the comments section to praise the actress for her courage and strength while wishing her a speedy recovery.
According to Closer Weekly, this isn’t the first time Tatum has spoken about her challenge with rheumatoid arthritis.
Earlier this year, Tatum shared a candid update of her battle with the disease when she uploaded a photo of her scars from surgery. In the accompanying caption, she wrote:
“Living with rheumatoid arthritis. A fall scratch scar on my right ?hip. And the back surgery scar from eight years ago.”
She also explained that she got burns from using heating pads. As noted by Daily Mail, O’Neal first noticed symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in her late 40s. However, it wasn’t until she turned 50 that she got diagnosed by the doctor.
Since getting diagnosed, Tatum has had to upgrade her lifestyle and diet to adapt to her body. She explained to Arthritis Foundation opts for wild salmon rather than meat and fried food.
Tatum also does floor stretches and Pilates in to manage the inflammation effectively.
Per LiveAbout, O’Neal is the daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal and actress Joanna Moore who gained prominence for her role in the 1972 fil, “Paper Moon” alongside her dad.
Her excellent performance earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, making her the youngest competitive Oscar winner.

Away from the screens, O’Neal is an established author who has written two memoirs. She also has a podcast titled “Tatum, Verbatim,” which she started hosting in 2018.
