Wendy Williams Speaks out after Finalizing Divorce from Kevin Hunter
Wendy Williams says she has no regrets in the aftermath of her divorce from Kevin Hunter and describes her new chapter as "so lovely."
Straight from Wendy Williams herself, she’s legally a single woman. The talk show host opened up about her “lovely” new chapter when she sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about the aftermath of her divorce from Kevin Hunter.
A glowing Williams graced the set of “Tonight With Jimmy Fallon” confirming the end of her months-long legal battle to finalize her divorce. Williams said, “A door has closed in old life,” and everything is just evolving naturally.
ON HER "LOVELY" NEW CHAPTER
“After nine months, yes, I am fully divorced,” the 55-year-old star proclaimed with no hard feelings. She adds, “The new chapter has been so lovely.” She also claimed she has no anger and there are no regrets.
Now that she’s single in the city, Williams expects to be dipping her feet into dating again. She told Fallon that though her ringless finger is “lonely” she has conditions when it comes to dating.
Williams was married to Hunter for over to 20 years and it’s a history she chooses to move on from without bitterness. More so because it produced her 19-year-old son, Kevin Hunter, Jr.
Williams is also grateful that things just progressed naturally, something she didn’t expect initially. It works out well because her son is off to college. As for her ex-husband who she refers to as “the other,” she only has best wishes for him.
Looking forward, Williams announced that she’s now living a new life in the city after revealing she’s no longer a New Jersey native. As part of her divorce settlement, she’ll be splitting the sale of her New Jersey home with Hunter. The agreement also made her the sole owner of her production company after Hunter agreed to sell his 50% share to her.
ON DATING AGAIN
Now that she’s single in the city, Williams expects to be dipping her feet into dating again. She told Fallon that though her ringless finger is “lonely” she has conditions when it comes to dating. For one thing, she prefers eye-to-eye contact as opposed to meeting men online.
As for her type of man, Williams said she’s not choosy when it comes to appearances. “If he’s got game, I’m in,” she says. However, she adds, “As long as he can pay his own bills.”
THE TERMS OF HER DIVORCE
News of Williams’ divorce hit headlines last week with details pertaining to the couple’s settlement. They reportedly agreed to forego alimony and instead, divide their assets amicably.
Apart from their agreement regarding their New Jersey home and production company, Williams was awarded her Florida home where her mother currently stays. She was also entitled to their joint account and a $1 million insurance policy with Hunter as the beneficiary.

Meanwhile, Hunter got to keep the full proceeds of the sale of another house in New Jersey which he previously sold. Likewise, his luxury cars and existing businesses remain under his ownership.
Williams filed for divorce in April citing irreconcilable differences. But the real reason is reportedly Hunter’s affair with another woman who gave birth to his child last year. This was what triggered their separation.
