Donnie Wahlberg on His Oldest Son Who Stays out of Spotlight and Played in Hardcore Band

American singer and actor, Donnie Wahlberg, is proud of his sons, Xavier and Elijah, gushing about them in a video during an interview with Jana Souskova.

"Blue Bloods" star, Donnie Wahlberg, shared details about the relationship with his oldest son, who plays in a band and has managed to stay out of the spotlights.

The former New Kid On The Block bandmate spoke fondly of his oldest, as he went on about his children's cool personalities.

Donnie Wahlberg, 50, who shares two sons, Xavier and Elijah with his first wife, Kimberly Fey, had a sit down with Jana Souskova.

The record and film producer reflected on how he was having the time of his life raising two amazing kids, one a straight A's NKOTB fanatic, and the other a hardcore band member. Speaking about his first son, the one-time NKOTB "bad boy" divulged:

"My oldest son, I'm not gonna say his name because he'd be mad at me if he happens to see this. But he's in a band. He's actually in a band. They play very dark, hardcore music, mosh pits, and the whole thing."

The actor described his relationship with the upcoming singer, saying they were close and got to talk about everything, from the bully at school to getting slammed by a crazy chic at a mosh pit concert.

Going further, the star mentioned that his son, would rather not be named on the show, an indication that he preferred life away from the spotlights.

MEET XAVIER WAHLBERG

The oldest of Donnie Wahlberg's kids, Xavier Alexander Wahlberg, was welcomed by his parents in March 1993 six years before his parents began their eight-year marriage.

The celebrity son, who notably maintains a lowkey existence out of the public glare, chose a passion that requires quite the opposite. The 26-year-old was part of the hardcore, death metal band, as revealed by his father.

He also has dreams of becoming a musician, just like his famous dad. However, the lowkey band player hopes to achieve that feat on his own, without his father's help or influence.

The actor got married to Kimberly Fey, the mother of his two boys in August 1999. The pair met in 1991 and maintained their relationship for eight years prior to their marriage.

According to the record producer, they tied the knot at the time "in case the world should come to an end." Although the couple already had a 6-year-old son before their marriage, they welcomed another, Elijah Hendrix Wahlberg, in 2001, two years after they sealed their union.

After eight years of marriage and a total of sixteen years as a couple, the pair separated in 2008, finalizing their divorce two years later, with "irreconcilable differences" cited as the reason for the split.

DONNIE'S MARRIAGE TO JENNIE MCCARTHY

Five years after his divorce from the mother of his children, the "Blue Bloods" heartthrob found love again in television personality, Jenny McCarthy, hostess of "The Jenny McCarthy Show."

They met on the set of her VH1 show, where he made a guest appearance for an interview. The duo was drawn to each other on sight, and the chemistry that developed between them on the show, after she prompted him to "talk dirty" to her, was visible to viewers.

They hit it off shortly after, making the relationship public in 2013. The relationship progressed to the next level after the icon proposed to the TV hostess with the help of her autistic son, Evans.

The talk show host announced their engagement on "The View," referring to herself as the luckiest girl in the world. Their marriage followed the next year, in August 2014 at the Hotel Baker, St. Charles, Illinois.

Since their union, Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have been inseparable.

Donnie Wahlberg's wife has a son, Evan Joseph Asher, from a previous relationship whom the actor has since taken as his. Opening up about their blended family relationship, the mother of one quipped:

"I thought for sure I would be going at it alone Like many parents who have kids autism do. So the fact that I found the love of my life for me and my son Evan found a stepdad in his life. I feel like I can't ask for anything else."

And the singer is content being the heroic stepdad of the eighteen-year-old as they enjoy their blended family of five.
