This year’s Grammy Awards, on its 62nd annual ceremony, took place on Sunday, January 26, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

A string of the hottest music stars, including Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X, Chrissy Teigen, Shawn Mendes, Tyler the Creator, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and many more, strolled down the red carpet as if it were their personal runaway.

Here, fashion expert Anna Ponomarenko breaks down the best-dressed males of the night exclusively for AmoMama.

According to Anna, this year, the men who walked the red carpet chose mainly three-piece or classic suits, but each of them had distinctive features: color, style, and accessories.

And while most male stars get eclipsed by their fellow female stars, this year there some daring guys who took the fashion up a notch donning something more interesting than just a suit.

Anna explains:

“This is an interesting phenomenon because, for many years, men have chosen classic things for the red carpet, and only occasionally, the bravest ones risked trying on new looks. Today, young performers boldly put on silk, new shades, and styles.”

Among her favorite dressed are:

Undoubtedly the fashion icon of the moment, the Broadway veteran and “Pose” star, enjoys making a statement with his bold, out-of-the-box looks.

On this occasion, he rocked a shimmering turquoise jumpsuit with a jacket, but the central piece of his outfit was a wide-brimmed hat with a crystal fringe that opened and closed with remote control.

“Someone will say too much, and someone will want to copy one or more elements. Pink finally ceases to bear the large print of ‘girl’s only’ color,” says Anna.

Men’s dresses and skirts began to appear more and more on world catwalks and finally got on the red carpet. The Comme des Garçons tailored jacket is uniquely beautiful, and Lacy topped the look with a pair of Rick Owens combat boots.

Welcome to the Grand Budapest Hotel, or another example of how a man can rock pink even in a bellhop outfit. The rapper didn’t skimp in details, adding a pink suitcase, white gloves, and the characteristic red cap.

It seems like men are getting bolder and daring at award shows, which is a bit of fresh air from the usually-boring black suits that, while classic, can get repetitive and dull at times.
