Alex Trebek’s Adoptive Daughter Shares Beautiful Family Photo Amid His Cancer Battle
"Jeopardy" host Alex Trebek might be a well-known TV show host but to his adoptive daughter Nicky, he's just a loving father. She recently posted a pic with her parents on Instagram.
In March 2019, Alex was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Earlier this year, he revealed that he is still battling the illness and has kept fans updated about his fight.
Regardless, the star has no plans to retire from his job as "Jeopardy" host. He is also spending time with his family.

His adopted daughter Nicky recently took to social media site Instagram to share a sweet picture of herself with Alex and her mother. She captioned the picture with a simple hashtag that read "#girldad."
The picture shows Alex sitting in the middle with Elaine, Nicky's mother, on one side and Nicky on the other. All three are smiling happily at the camera.
More than three hundred fans liked the post and many also took to the comments section to compliment the happy family. One fan wrote:
"What is... the coolest thing I seen today? #trebek [two heart emojis]."

Nicky Trebek is Elaine Trebek Kares' daughter from her first ex-husband, Louis Callei. Elaine and Alex married in 1974.
At the time Nicky was six years old. Even though Alex and Elaine divorced in 1981 and Elaine went on to marry Peter Kares, Alex remained a father figure in Nicky's life.

Alex became an adoptive father to Nicky. Nicky works as a production coordinator on "Jeopardy!" and has two step-siblings, Matthew Trebek and Emily Trebek. They are Alex's children with his second wife, Jean Currivan Trebek.
