After news of their separation came to light, Ne-Yo's estranged wife Crystal Smith responds to the divorce rumors in a statement.

Four years after their marriage and two children later, Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith are headed for divorce. Crystal Smith broke her silence over the divorce rumors, first acknowledging how good of a dad the singer is to their children.

"The accuracy is that he's an amazing father and our kids are blessed to have a father like him. I wouldn't take that back for anything in this world."

The Jasmine Brand previously reported that Smith was the one who called it quits, acknowledging that the couple's marriage has been rocky for quite a while. According to their source, "Crystal left him, she's had enough."

True enough, Ne-Yo admitted on his New Year's Eve Instagram post that 2019 had its "bumps and bruises." Unfortunately for them, the "bumps and bruises" got the best of their relationship.

CRYPTIC MESSAGES ON INSTAGRAM

After news of the split came to light, Crystal posted a cryptic message on Instagram that spoke about grace.

"It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations.. and you can't buy that."

As for what she has to say about the impending divorce aside from the fact that Ne-Yo is a good father to their children, it's that "everything else is God's will."

REMEMBERING THEIR MARRIED LIFE

Crystal Smith is set to file for divorce soon, following their marriage in 2016. Together, they share two children. They welcomed their son Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. in the same year, followed by their second son, Roman Alexander-Raj Smith in 2018.

Since news of their split came to light, Smith had deleted every photo of the singer on her Instagram, while Ne-Yo made sure to keep all their good memories on his own account.
