Sheryl Lee Ralph Posts Photo with Cynthia Erivo as She Praises Actress for Oscars Performance of 'Stand Up'

Award-winning actress and author Sheryl Lee Ralph revealed her kiss sharing moment with fellow actress Cynthia Erivo at the Academy Awards.

Noted for her outstanding portrayal of roles in "Dreamgirls," "Wicked," "Moesha" "The Jeffersons," and "Designing Women," her expertise in the acting field is undeniable.

Cynthia, a younger actress who is beginning to make a mark as a formidable force in the industry, has a varying number of awards to her name. No wonder she has earned the recognition of fellow celebrities.

The "Color Purple" star bagged a Grammy, and a Tony, for her performance in the movie. Recently, Cynthia was nominated for an Oscar for her role as "Harriett Taubman" in the movie, "Harriett."

Sheryl who has been in the game longer celebrated Cynthia on her Instagram by posting their Oscar 2020 moment together.

Both women dressed to the nines and didn't mind showing their admiration for one another as they shared a kiss on the carpet. Her post read:

"Here's to my #broadwaybaby @cynthiaerivo You future EGOT winner! Big kisses tonight and always!!!#Oscars2020."

While the "Hariett" star's talent has gained global recognition, Cynthia revealed that she has taken her time to grow herself. Her drive has always been fuelled by passion.

The Nigerian native didn't have her father around during her childhood days, but her supportive single mother raised her in Europe, and always believed in her daughter.

After revealing her dreams, the Oscar nominee got a wakeup call, as her mother charged her to "work hard" to reach her goals.

Another force that facilitates Cynthia's dedication is the experiences of other African Americans. Similarly, Sheryl saw a record-breaking black actress named Miss Diahann Carroll as her role model.

This didn't deter the 33-year-old who after majoring in music psychology, and later advanced her talents by studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

After playing her role in the movie that earned her a place in this year's Oscars, Cynthia believes her dedication to portraying the "Harriett Taubman" role was intentional. Mama's advice and her resilience surely got her through. For her character, she said:

"I put my heart and soul into it. It means the world to me. She means the world to me."

Miss Erica also has a good singing voice and is responsible for singing the theme songs for two of her features.

First, it was an album for the "Color Purple," and then she went on to sing a background song for "Harriett."

Another force that facilitates Cynthia's dedication is the experiences of other African Americans. Similarly, Sheryl saw a record-breaking black actress named Miss Diahann Carroll as her role model.

The "Designing Women" star has built a career that has spanned for decades and is involved in charitable deeds such as the Help Is On The Way chatty gala.

She is also an advocate for the LGBTQ community, needless to say, that Mrs. Lee is an inspiration!
