"You look gorgeous in your purple dress."
Vanessa might have looked all giggly at the party, but things haven't exactly been rosy with her. News of her split from Austin Butler was confirmed last month, after a whopping nine years as one of Hollywood's golden couples.
However, Vanessa Hudgens is taking the break-up in her stride as she made a breathtaking appearance on the red carpet at the 26th annual Vanity Fair Oscars party.
The "High School Musical" star sizzled in a dramatic purple gown with a deeply plunging neckline. The dress featured a sheer purple cape, which Vanessa performed round with as she posed for photos.
She was all smiles sporting her flowing hair, which had been styled in free waves. The actress accomplished the ensemble with a glowing glam look, full with gentle pink lipstick.
The light silk material which clung to every inch of her incredible figure skimmed her body and highlighted her lean and lovely frame as she ensured all eyes were firmly on her on the red carpet.
The Vanity Fair Oscars after-party was full of stars dressed to impress in daring looks, but Vanessa Hudgens was one of the stars who stole the show.
Hudgens, who wore a custom royal-purple Vera Wang gown for the soiree, used her turn in front of the cameras to transform the ensemble into moving art.
The plunging silk gown also featured a large bow at the back and a long train, which the "Bad Boys for Life" actress used to maximum effect.
Hudgens threw her train into the air to create beautiful shapes for the cameras, creating a perfect red carpet moment, and the actress looked radiant as she took photos at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills.
