Princess Beatrice’s life took a weird turn when it was announced that her father had stepped away from his royal duties amid the fallout from his ties to the convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

According to a People source, as a result, Beatrice has had to change the date of her wedding twice to work her way around the Duke of York’s scandal.

"Eugenie and Beatrice are really upset. They believe their dad made a huge mistake in judgment ever being associated to Jeffrey Epstein."

It will be recalled that Beatrice is set to walk down the aisle with financier, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, at St. James’s Palace in London on May 29. The wedding would reportedly be followed with a reception at Queen Elizabeth’s gardens at Buckingham Palace.

However, unlike the royal weddings before theirs, Beatrice and Edoardo’s wedding would be a smaller celebration.

According to a source close to the couple, the duo would not have a carriage procession, which is in line with “keeping with their wishes for a more low-key” affair.

Despite the good news of their nuptials, Us Magazine exclusively reported that a source claimed the soon-to-be bride and her sister, Eugenie, are upset by the drama surrounding their father.

The source explained that the York girls have taken to supporting each other during this period. Speaking to the publication, the insider explained:

"Eugenie and Beatrice are really upset. They believe their dad made a huge mistake in judgment ever being associated to Jeffrey Epstein."

The sisters also share an understanding that the scandal is going to change how Andrew would perform his duties moving forward. Part of those duties includes walking his daughter down the aisle, which People confirmed he would be doing.

A source had told the media outlet that Beatrice would never do anything to hurt her father, so she was allowing him to partake in the age-long tradition.

Meanwhile, People also recounted that Beatrice and Mozzi, who announced their engagement in September 2019, celebrated their engagement with a glamorous party in London later in December.

The party had several celebrities and family members, including the bride-to-be’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, in attendance. This comes after a source revealed to People that the lovebirds will tie the knot at The Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace.

According to reports, the venue has a special tie to Prince George of Cambridge and Prince Louis of Cambridge as that was where they were both christened.
