Zoё Kravitz Talks about Getting Emotional as Dad Lenny Gave His Speech at Her Wedding
Zoe Kravitz tied the knot with her partner, Karl Glusman at her father's Paris home on June 29, 2019. While her wedding was one of the most beautiful days of her life, her father Lenny Kravitz's speech made it an emotional affair for her.
Zoe Kravitz was the happiest to marry her boyfriend, Karl Glusman, last year. The couple tied the knot in the presence of their family and loved ones in Zoe's father's Paris home.
After almost seven months of being married, Zoe recently opened up about how her father made her feel emotional after delivering a heart-touching speech on her wedding day.
SHE TEARED UP
"He went up and gave one of the most beautiful speeches I’ve ever heard."
During her appearance in "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," the actress shared that her father's beautiful speech made her tear up.
According to Zoe, the speech "kind of made the night." However, he was intimidated by Lisa Bonet's speech because she had written something beautiful and when Lenny saw it, he thought she would totally steal the limelight.
In the end, Lenny's speech successfully touched his daughter's heart. Although Lenny and his ex-wife Lisa parted ways many years ago, the love between him and Zoe is deep.
HER FIRST WEDDING
According to "US Weekly," Zoe and Karl were already married before their Paris wedding. According to what a source allegedly told the outlet, the lovebirds were legally married in secret before walking down the aisle in the presence of their loved ones.
The couple met for the first time back in 2016. They were introduced by a mutual friend and started dating soon after. In 2018, Zoe revealed that Karl had proposed to her in their home.

"I haven’t told anyone yet — I mean, I haven’t told the world. I wanted to keep it private," she shared with "Rolling Stones" at the time.
According to Zoe, she can be her true self when she is around Karl. She finds it comforting to be able to be herself around someone without the fear of judgment.
Zoe, who recently turned 31, confessed in the same interview with "Rolling Stones" that she was excited to turn 30. She said that she will be making more mistakes but it's okay because everyone is a "beautiful mess."
In recent years, the actress has been quite busy with her acting career. Recently, she and her husband attended the premiere of Hulu's "High Fidelity" in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Zoe plays the role of a boy-crazy Brooklyn record store owner named Rob in the series.
