Ryan Newman of NASCAR and Estranged Wife Krissie Have Two Daughters Together — Meet Brooklyn & Ashlyn

Although Ryan Newman is going through a rough patch, his family has remained by his side.

Although Ryan Newman is recovering from a crash he was involved in at the Daytona 500, that didn't stop his children from spending some time with him.

The professional stock car racing driver took to Instagram to share a picture of him and his daughters, Brooklyn and Ashlyn, as he rocked a hospital gown.

"...[Ryan's] estranged wife had taken to the social media platform, Twitter, to state that even though she and her men were separating, they would remain co-parents."

The image came shortly after Pop Culture revealed that the car racer's wife, Krissie, had announced that they were separating after 16 years of marriage.

This would explain why Ryan is spending as much time as he can with his children, even though it's not in the outdoors as they would like.

According to the site, not only does Ryan enjoy hunting, but he loves taking his children out with him on the family farm.

During an interview, the 42-year-old revealed that their time on the farm was to give his girls an understanding of the outdoors. The NASCAR Cup Series competitor had further stated that:

"There are so many parts to teaching kids about hunting and conservation. It's not about harvesting an animal as much as it is about understanding why those animals are on this Earth."

Ryan's children must have been giddy when their father finally got released from the hospital. In fact, the two girls had walked out of the hospital as they held onto their father's hands, according to an NBC Sports article.

Roush Fenway Racing's Twitter page had shared a video of the trio walking out.

Not soon after his discharge, Ryan decided to catch up with his friend, Martin Truex Jr. and his girlfriend, Sherry Pollex, in the driver motorhome lot at Daytona International Speedway.

The professional driver would need all the support he can get as the announcement of the breakdown of his marriage.

According to Pop Culture, his estranged wife had taken to the social media platform, Twitter, to state that even though she and her men were separating, they would remain co-parents.

The former couple first met on a blind date in 2001 that was set up by Krissie's grandmother and a friend from church.

After a period of dating, the duo eventually got married on January 3, 2004. During their marriage, Krissie became the leader of several charities, including the Ryan Newman Foundation.
