Maksim Chmerkovskiy from DWTS Shares Sweet Photo of His Son and He's Already so Grown-Up

Latin–ballroom dance champion Maksim Chmerkovskiy shared photos of his son, Shai, on a relaxing Sunday by the beach, and fans couldn't believe how grown he looks.

The series of photos shared by the Dancing with the stars dancer on an Instagram post on February 23, featured his wife, Peta Murgatroyd and their only Child, Shai.

Followers of the dancing duo were quick to comment on how charming the 1-year-old looked, pointing out how fast he had grown.

"He is so so gorgeous," a comment said. Another marveled at how fast the little bundle of joy had grown, saying, "Growing up so fast!"

The photos depicted a calm, sunny day out by the beach with the small family enjoying the scenery. Several other comments noted the striking resemblance between mother and son and kind-heartedly cheered for an addition to the small unit.

The duo had much earlIer revealed their openness to the idea of expanding their family in an interview with ET. Chmerkovskiy said, supported by his beautiful wife, Peta,

"I want it on the record, right here and right now. I want a girl more than Anything."

The 33-Year-Old mother expressed how much she had come to love motherhood and her excitement to raise Shai's sibling. She said in an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly,

"The amount of love that you have for your child, It just amazes me every day."

The parents had met when they were both casts in the Broadway production of "Burn The Floor." Peta had confessed to thinking that Maksim carried an air of arrogance, and she didn't have any affection for him at first sight.

Her husband later teased that she didn't want to admit to having taken a liking to him immediately. Spending more time together, the two became friends and, subsequently, lovers.

Amidst the romance, Chmerkovskiy suddenly ended the relationship, leaving behind a heartbroken Peta. The duo, however, got back together later in the year, proceeding steadily, to marriage.

Chmerkovskiy had been previously involved with "Dancing With The Stars" co-star, Meryl Davis. The pair was even rumored to be on the verge of marriage, and watchers of the famous TV show had fallen in love with the chemistry Davis and Chmerkovskiy shared.

Maksim and Meryl started as friends, they flirted occasionally, and the following romance had come to them naturally.

In an interview with Glamour, Chmerkovskiy opened up about his relationship with former lover, Meryl Davis. "I talk to Meryl a lot because it's just a different type of partnership," Maksim described their friendship.
