Maksim Chmerkovskiy Shares New Cute Photos with His Grandma
Ukrainian ballroom dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy might have earned a reputation for being a bad boy but he's proving there's a sweeter side to him. He took to Instagram recently to share a picture, shown below, with his grandmother.
Maksim and his brother Valentin were professional dancers on "Dancing with the Stars" for 15 seasons. They decided not to return to the show even though they were firm fan favorites over the years.
During his career on the show, Maksim's temper and attitude gained him a reputation as a bad boy. Over the years, he has argued with judges and cast members and has also been extremely strict with his celebrity contestants.

However, it seems he is more than ready to ditch the persona. Recently he has used his social media to show fans a softer side of himself.
He has posted a number of pictures that show him as a doting father to his little boy and a supportive husband. Earlier this month, he took to Instagram to reveal that he is also a loving grandson.
The post consisted of a series of sweet selfies with his grandmother and a video. He also penned a sweet but lengthy caption, writing:
"Had another great morning with this OG. We’ve been laughing A LOT! I’m actively trying to get her to make new memories and actually have recalls. Today she remembered the bridges and our favorite @therivercafe I’ll take what I can get."

One fan reminisced about their own experience and firmly agreed with Maksim. The fan commented:
"You’re a wonderful grandson. I lost my beautiful mother much, much too soon to #alzheimers. It really is all about meeting them where they are and creating moments of joy."
Maksim is married to fellow dancer Petra Murgatroyd, who recently became an American citizen, since 2017. They share a son named Shai who was also born in 2017.
