VENUS' PAST MATCHES
It hasn't been easy for Williams, who has lost four successive matches in various opens, including a second-round defeat to Belinda Bencic at the China Open, and a defeat at the Australian Open against 15-year-old Coco Gauff.
The former Top 1 tennis player in the world has diverted her attention to the fashion world, following her sister Serena's footsteps.
TOURING ACAPULCO
To shake off the nerves and the disappointment from her loss, Venus made the most out of her trip to Mexico by taking a tour. She took some pictures overlooking the city's beautiful coastline and boasted about the place's beautiful culture and people.
While her loss might have easily stopped her from coming back, this wasn't the case and William vouched that she'd be coming back next year to compete at the same tournament. In fact, she was headed straight to Monterrey, for the first time, to play.
"See you next year Acapulco. The beaches, the views, the food here, all spectacular. Most of all the fans are out of this world!"
A NEW VENTURE
The former Top 1 tennis player in the world has diverted her attention to the fashion world, following her sister Serena's footsteps. Venus has been promoting her new clothing line, "EleVen by Venus," on top of playing tennis.
The 39-year-old's clothing line showcases activewear styles that are fit to use on a daily basis and is built on the idea of always feeling and being at your best. As for why this is her goal, Venus revealed:
"I want women to feel confident and empowered to push their own limits and meet their goals when they wear my pieces, but also remember to just have fun while training and working out!"
This is definitely a perspective that Venus herself has been living out, and now fans are given the opportunity to feel the same way thanks to her new venture.
