Wendy Williams Claims She & RHOA Star NeNe Leakes Experienced Racial Profiling While Shopping at Bergdorf's
Wendy Williams claims she and her good friend NeNe Leakes from "Real Housewives of Atlanta" were racially profiled while shopping at the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman.
Wendy Williams was not pleased by the way she and her friend NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton from "Real Housewives of Atlanta" were treated over their lunch and shopping spree at Bergdorf Goodman, where she claims they were treated as if they were about to do something bad.
Disappointed with what had happened, the famous talk show host decided to give the department store the attention that they refused.

THEIR SHOPPING SPREE INCIDENT
While she posted about the girls outing on Instagram as if everything went well, she actually planned something up her sleeve by sharing about what exactly transpired during a "The Wendy Williams Show" hot topics segment. According to NeNe, she and the two women were at the Bergdorf Glamour Suite and each had a sales girl who were picking out items for them.
They enjoyed their stay at the suite, purchasing a couple of gowns among many other things, until they were told they couldn't post about their shopping spree on social media by the store security.
FEELING RACIALLY DISCRIMINATED AT THE SHOP
Unfortunately, Williams felt disrespected by the order given by the management, and even after they went upstairs for lunch, as the security allegedly treated them "like the hood." Regardless of how much they earn, or the freedom they have to do whatever it is they want, she was distressed by the fact that they were treated badly because of how they looked.
"They treated us like “the hood” that they treat us. Yup and that’s alls I’m gonna say. You can earn what you want, you can do what you want. But when you are what you are you better not be surprised about how people treat you. We were followed like we were about to do something."
SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
Disappointed with what had happened, the famous talk show host decided to give the department store the attention that they refused to have, by sharing about the incident and the pictur she posted on "Hot Topics," even if they demanded for her not to post it anywhere.
Williams' recent girls' trip comes after she denied dating anybody, setting the record straight about the rumors of her dating celebrity jeweler William Selby. She clarifies that she and Selby are just friends, and that she is currently single and enjoying life.
