Every event in a person’s childhood played a part in forming who he or she is today, especially one like being part of the scouting organization. Here are a few high-profile individuals who were scouts before.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was no doubt a legendary civil rights activist for equality among all, who is still looked up to by many. Apart from being a breacher and liberal, he was also a Boy Scout.

Throughout his life, King exemplified courage for standing up in what he knows is morally and ethically correct, despite the backlash it may have brought.

Although he became a political liberal with several political and financial scandals, Bill Clinton was a Boy Scout.

He allegedly used the status to rise to office, and eventual presidency, but forgot his roots upon his achievement. However, this isn’t something uncommon for organization members.

It came as no surprise that Andy Griffith was part of the organization as he always showed what it was like to be an ethical and moral citizen, especially in his role as Sheriff Taylor in the ‘60s.
