Page Six: Diana Would Be Heartbroken over Current State of Affairs in the Royal Family, Says Photographer Jayne Fincher
Jayne Fincher is a photographer who worked with the British Royal Family for 20 years. She recently gave her take on how Princess Diana would’ve reacted to news about Prince Harry leaving his senior role in the family.
In the two decades that Fincher worked with the Royal Family, she got to spend time with them as much as she did with her own family. In 1998, she published a collection images featuring the late Princess Diana called “Diana Portrait of a Princess.”
She recalled first taking photos of the People’s Princess in 1980. At the time it was rumored that Diana, a teenager then, was dating Prince Charles.

“She would be heartbroken”
Fincher also had the opportunity to photograph the rest of the Royal Family plus Prince William and Prince Harry as they grew up. The photographer shared how Diana would’ve reacted to Megxit saying:
“[She] would be heartbroken, particularly as the boys have gone through so much together.”
Fincher revealed how the late Princess would’ve done “everything” in her power to resolve the issue. The photographer added: “She’d be shaking the boy’s heads together saying, ‘For goodness sake. What’s going on here?’”
Diana would’ve tried to make peace
According to Fincher, Diana would’ve also true to make peace between the women too. Reports state that Harry’s wife, Duchess Meghan, and William’s wife, Duchess Kate, are also not getting along.

Prince Charles not happy with sons’ rift
Harry and William were said to have a strained relationship, and the former’s decision to leave the Royal Family has worsened the situation. Fincher also shared that the boy’s father, Prince Charles, was probably not happy with the rift too.

The photographer also opened up about how close the brothers were when they were younger. She revealed how William had been the shy one as a child while his brother seemed unbothered by the media attention.
Photographer feels sad for Harry
Fincher shared how she thought Harry was happy but was saddened when she saw his last documentary, “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.” She confessed that it made her want to cry and she felt “so sad” for the royal knowing that he was “struggling.”
A lesson taught by Diana
Last August, Katy Fabrie wrote an opinion piece for “Pop Sugar” sharing the one thing she learned from Princess Diana. Fabrie recalled seeing a photo of the royal having fun with her two boys.

Having fun with the boys
Even though Fabrie saw the image in a magazine when she was a child, the picture stayed with her and inspired her own parenting style. In the photo, Diana was seen with William and Harry having fun together in a water log ride at Thorpe Park.
Fabrie learned to play with her children just as the Princess of Wales had done all those years back.
