Katy Perry Hints Fellow 'American Idol' Judges Won't Be Performing at Her Wedding

“American Idol” judge Katy Perry will probably get married to actor Orlando Bloom in the future. Working with other talented musicians in the musical competition would have one thinking she’d have them at her wedding but the singer says that is not a possibility.

On “American Idol,” Perry works alongside fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. She also gets to be around the show’s host Ryan Seacrest.

Recently, she spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” where she discussed the possibility of having her co-stars perform at her future wedding. Perry confessed: "I have thought about it. I wish. I wish."

Her colleagues were also involved in the interview. Seacrest added his take on the matter joking that Bryan and Richie were “expensive” to hire out.

Lionel Richie would take up the whole wedding budget

The "Roar" singer laughed and joked that the two musicians would take up the whole budget for her wedding. Singling out Richie, she added that he alone was “the whole budget."

Luke will go out drinking with Orlando

The pop singer also joked that if Seacrest officiated the nuptials then it was game over for her and Bloom. However, Perry’s co-stars do intend on being involved in the proceedings somehow.

Bryan joked that he would take Bloom out drinking the night before the wedding. Perry lamented that her groom would come to the wedding hungover all because of the country music singer.

She and Bloom are currently expecting their first child together. They were set to get married later in the year in Japan but had to postpone due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier in the month, a source revealed that the couple was postponing their wedding until 2021. According to an insider who spoke to “People” magazine, Perry was looking forward to walking down the aisle pregnant.

When did they start dating

The Japan wedding had been allegedly planned to accommodate 150 guests and was going to happen in the summer. Perry and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor started dating in 2016, before separating a year later.

In April 2018, the two got back together.
