Ellen DeGeneres Films Wife Portia de Rossi as She Cooks in Their Kitchen & Fans Love It

The famous TV host’s wife of more than ten years has resorted to cooking during this period of self-isolation that the two are spending together at home because of the covid-19 pandemic.

47-year-old actress Portia de Rossi, who has been the romantic partner of the 65-year-old comedian and TV show host Ellen DeGeneres for around 15 years, is using her unplanned free time at home to cook some delicious meals for the two.

The “Arrested Development” star recently shared a video of herself in her Instagram feed, and by listening to it we can tell that the person behind the camera is no other than DeGeneres, who can’t help but playing TV show host on her wife.

DeGeneres approached de Rossi as the latter chopped some vegetables to prepare a dish following a recipe by the vegan food company Purple Carrot, and de Rossi joked about how long it was going to take her since she didn’t feel too confident:

“Knife skills...they’re letting me down... Plus @purplecarrotxo do you peel sweet potatoes? Bc the directions just said dice. But I peeled it first. ??? I need a level of directions most people do not....:)”

“Cooking with Portia,” as DeGeneres jokingly titled the segment, was greatly received by the couple’s many fans and followers, as they made sure to let them know in the comments section of the post.

“Cooking with Portia is the stress reliever we all need,” a user stated. “I hope ‘Cooking with Portia’ continues after the recommended social distaning ends!” added another person.

“Waiting for this post everyday,” was yet another comment by someone who has been enjoying Portia’s previous cooking posts, since this is far from the first time she has set out to share her culinary experiments with her fans.

DINNER’S READY

A couple of days earlier, de Rossi showed the final product of one of her cooking projects from the Purple Carrot recipe book, and a very proud DeGeneres urged her to compare it to the picture in the book, and we can say she succeeded.

“Yours looks better than the picture! Yum!!” a supportive fan wrote in the comments section.

Despite the great results, de Rossi looked nervous and stress in a previous video in which she is still cooking the meal and she is seen drinking wine as a way to cope with her unfounded frustration.

Fans are definitely willing to keep watching videos like this, especially in these times of isolation, and we wouldn’t be surprised if they develop an actual cooking show when everything goes back to normal.“You guys are so funny & so cute to keep us all entertained while in quarantine,” a thankful commenter wrote, expressing what we all feel.

A BORED ELLEN

DeGeneres knows that the coronavirus situation is very serious and she has sent her entire “The Ellen Show” crew on a break so they can observe social distancing as conscious citizens, but she has never hidden the fact that she is bored at home.

In a series of hilarious clips post in the show’s Instagram account (which sometimes appears to be more of a personal account), DeGeneres called other celebrities on the phone to see how they were going through the quarantine.

Singer Justin Timberlake, model Chrissy Teigen, and actress Jessica Biel were some of the stars that DeGeneres graced with a phone call, and every one of them said to be doing exactly the same: nothing.

DeGeneres also used the opportunity to call her friend Adam Levine to wish him a happy birthday, who told her that he was taking things easy and spending time with his beloved ones.
