Melania Trump Is Reportedly Fine after Testing Negative for Coronavirus

The First lady of the US, Melania Trump has tested negative for coronavirus, the White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham revealed.

Amid the world's continuous battle with the coronavirus pandemic, the first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has tested negative for the virus and is doing well.

The White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, made CNN privy to the update on Monday, March 23. The news of Melania's health update came during a task briefing which was headed by her husband, President Donald Trump.

During the briefing, it was pointed out by Dr. Deborah Birx, the coronavirus task force coordinator, that she had also gotten tested after she experienced a fever over the weekend. Luckily, she was found negative for the disease.

While taking precautionary measures, Melania took a moment to pay tribute to her son, Barron William Trump, during his 14th birthday celebration

When asked how his wife was faring since they took the test, the President responded that she was doing "fine."

It would be recalled that Trump and his wife had both been tested at the White House on March 13. According to People, soon after the test, Trump stated that the process had been uncomfortable.

The need to test for the virus came after it was revealed that many prominent political figures, including Kentucky's Senator Rand Paul and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, tested positive for the virus.

Ivanka Trump, the President's daughter and a senior White House aide, and Vice President Mike Pence also got tested as well and were found to be negative, the White House has stated.

The first family has additionally made it a point to stay in Washington, D.C. as more states started implementing restrictions on non-essential travel and work as a way to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

While taking precautionary measures, Melania took a moment to pay tribute to her son, Barron William Trump, during his 14th birthday celebration, Daily Mail disclosed.

The FLOTUS had shared a picture of two floating silver balloons that spelled out the number 14, as she tweeted: "Happy Birthday BWT."

Daily Mail noted that Donald's tight schedule that day might have hindered him from publicly wishing his son a happy birthday.
