Bill & Hillary Clinton Surprise Medical Staff in NY Hospitals with over 400 Pizzas Amid Crisis

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, former president Bill Clinton and his wife surprised New York Medical Staff with 400 boxes of pizza.

Former U.S. President, Bill Clinton and his wife Hilary, sent boxes of pizzas to hospitals in their home country, Westchester. A tweet by the couple's daughter, Chelsea Clinton, expressed gratitude to the hospital staff working everywhere and also to her mom for the pizza boxes.

Chelsea's tweet came as a response to a tweet made by another user who described Clinton's act as an act of love. Several other medical staff also tweeted about the pizza they received.

On Thursday, an Emergency Room doctor at Dobbs Ferry Hospital took to twitter to disclose that she had just received pizza from the couple. The doctor expressed her gratitude, stating that the country needed leaders like them in these tough times.

The Blythedale Children's Hospital also had 20 boxes of pizza delivered to them. The hospital serves as a medical center for babies and children with medical complexities. Speaking on the act, the hospital's spokeswoman said:

"The Clintons have always been good neighbors, and their kindness during a tremendously difficult time for health care workers truly boosted everyone's spirit."

Abi Krasniqi, the manager of Mr. Nick's Brick Oven Pizza, revealed that his restaurant delivered 20 boxes of pizza to Phelps Memorial Hospital. While the act was intended to support and appreciate the healthcare workers, Krasniqi said it helped his business too.

He explained that his business had been steady, but it wasn't the same before the coronavirus outbreak. The manager further stated that the couple's delivery showed that they cared about their people and their country.

Public figures like Rihanna and Donatella Versace have also made charitable contributions to help those affected by the virus.

Westchester County and New York City are currently the two of the hardest-hit areas in the U.S. during this coronavirus outbreak. The Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton live in nearby Chappaqua.

Earlier on Wednesday, Mrs. Clinton tweeted a message of support to medical professionals and other essential workers who are keeping the nation going. She tweeted:

"Thank you to the medical professionals, grocery store employees, delivery drivers, pharmacy workers, mail carriers, firefighters, police... "

Bill and Hillary won't be the first givers, since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, celebrities all over the world have stepped in to provide funds and relief materials in the fight against the virus.

On Thursday, a famous designer, Ralph Lauren, announced that his foundation, "The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation," will be giving out $10 million to provide relief efforts for the ongoing pandemic.

This donation will help several charities and organizations, including the World Health Organization and countries battling the coronavirus pandemic.

Public figures like Rihanna, Donatella Versace, and Christian Siriano have also made charitable contributions to help those affected by the virus.
