Kelly Ripa Posts to Instagram on the Passing of 'All My Children' Co-Star John Callahan
Kelly Ripa has taken to Instagram to share a saddening post as she mourns the loss of her friend and "All My Children" co-star, John Callahan. Callahan passed away at the age of 66 from a stroke.
Since the passing of “All My Children” star, John Callahan, his friends and fellow celebrities have been paying their tributes to him via social media.

According to Hollywood Life, Kelly Ripa, who also starred in “All My Children,” was one of the stars who shared sad posts about the late actor’s passing.
The actress and show hostess uploaded a picture of John cradling his ex-wife, Eva LaRue’s baby bump on the red carpet with the caption:
“Because there are no words, all i can muster is Rest In Peace #johncallahan My heart breaks for you @evalarue and @kaya_callahan.”
Fans were heartbroken by Kelly’s post as she has been friends with John and his family since they started on AMC together in the ‘90s.
Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was on “All My Children” from 1993 to 1995, also recounted the memories she had of the talented actor, whom she referred to as the father she never had.
John died on Saturday, March 28, after he was put on life support following the stroke he suffered the previous evening.
According to People, only his immediate family members were allowed to stay and say their final goodbyes before he was declared dead. The site also pointed out that Daytime Emmys were the first to break the news of John’s death with a tweet.
Eva La Rue, who was married to the late 66-year-old actor from 1996 to 2005, also paid tribute to him with a heartbreaking Instagram post.
Through the post’s caption, the 53-year-old mentioned that he was a “great friend, co-parent partner, and loving father to Kaya.” Kaya is the 18-year-old daughter John, and Eva welcomed while they were still together.
Meanwhile, MSN reported that Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was on “All My Children” from 1993 to 1995, also recounted the memories she had of the talented actor, whom she referred to as the father she never had.
The 42-year-old actress wrote that the “greatest joy in his life” came “when he had a daughter of his own,” and called him by their shared secret pet name, "GP."
She promised to carry on his legacy and keep a close eye on Kaya and Eva. Finola Hughes also mourned the loss of her co-star, whom she claimed was “always ready with a fun story or joke.”
The 60-year-old, who was on “All My Children” between 1999 and 2003, added that she was sending her love to Eva and Kaya. Before John and Eva got married, the former was previously married to Linda Freeman from 1984 to 1992.
