Tia & Tamera Mowry Celebrate 26th Anniversary of 'Sister, Sister' with Adorable Throwback Pics

Tia Mowry shares an adorable throwback picture with her twin Tamera in celebration of the 26th year of their hit show "Sister, Sister."

"Sister, Sister" was a memorable experience for Tia and Tamera Mowry, as it was their proper introduction to fame that eventually changed their lives forever.

The hit show ran for six seasons, and after its end in 1999, the twins remained constant figures in the entertainment industry.

CELEBRATING 26 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY

Now that it's been 26 years since the show premiered, they made sure to celebrate it on social media. Aside from a throwback picture, Tia shared the story of her and her sister going from network to network to pitch their show.

By the time they pitched their show to network executives, they have only been living in Los Angeles for three years. Regardless, this didn't stop them from facing top executives in different networks as they were positive they wanted to become actresses.

PITCHING THE SHOW TO NETWORK EXECUTIVES

Without a proper script to act with, they used their personal stories to get the message across, and it ultimately paid off for them. As for what they can say to people who are trying to achieve their dreams, Mowry says this:

"Go for dreams and never give up! Don't stop! Believe in yourself. Don't let someone else write your story, you be the author of your book."

LIFE AFTER "SISTER, SISTER"

The hit show ran for six seasons, and after its end in 1999, the twins remained constant figures in the entertainment industry. While they both hold degrees at Pepperdine University and had the chance to travel the world because of it, they ended up back in the industry as it's a place where they thrived.

Every now and then, the proud twin sisters look back at the TV show that launched their careers. In fact, a reboot was even in the talks before it was shut down due to legal reasons. Ultimately, it hasn't stopped the Mowry sisters from posting tributes to "Sister, Sister."

Now, Tamera Mowry-Housley is a TV show host on the daytime talk show "The Real," while Tia Mowry-Hardrict has had multiple acting gigs through the years alongside a YouTube vlog. Aside from this, they are both happy mothers to their children and wives to their husbands.
