Gabrielle Union of 'LA's Finest' and Daughter Kaavia Rock Natural Curls in New Photos
Gabrielle Union and her daughter, Kaavia, are quite the cute mother-daughter duo. With everyone staying home, the pair is getting in some quality hair time.
Earlier this week, the famous actress shared a snap of her and the 1-year-old on her Instagram page. In the picture, Gabrielle took her daughter for a piggyback ride, while Kaavia appears to be overly fixated on her hair.

The picture showed the duo flaunting their natural hair and their gorgeous natural looks. While they both looked dressed down and weren’t on any makeup, they still looked dashing. The proud mother captioned the image,
"See @kaaviajames mama's got hair like yours!! When I took my braids out she was like ?? now mom & baby both rocking their natural curls ❤?? #QuarantineNaturalHairChronicles"
Kaavia’s father, basketball star Dwyane Wade, also joined in on the fun. Gabrielle shared a picture of the retired basketball player combing Kaavia’s hair on the toddler’s Instagram account.
The actress also shared a joke that Dwyane was trying to make their daughter look like a character from a ‘70s sitcom.
The Wades have been all about their looks this year. Along with showing off their cute baby, Dwayne and Gabrielle have also been supportive of their 12-year-old daughter, Zaya.
Zaya – who was initially born Zion – came out as transgender earlier this year. Since then, the family has done tremendously well to support her as she becomes more comfortable in her sexuality.
Despite being almost opposites, they’ve been able to make things work.
The 12-year-old made her red-carpet debut at the Truth Awards, in March and her parents were there to support her. The trio looked terrific as they posed for the cameras.
Like all many, Dwyane and Gabrielle’s relationship hasn’t all been fun, and they've had their share of hard times. Both were divorced before they met each other, and despite being almost opposites, they’ve been able to make things work so far.
One of the most significant challenges, as Dwyane recounts, was telling Gabrielle that he fathered a child with someone else. In his recent documentary, "D. Wade: Life Unexpected," the retired hooper explained that he had fathered a child with someone else in 2013.
This was at a time when he and Gabrielle were on a break. However, the couple was able to come out of that challenge stronger than ever.
