Gabby Sidibe of 'Empire' Shares Funny Photo With Boyfriend Brandon Frankel Amid Self-Isolation

With everyone staying home and having nowhere else to go, many have complained about boredom. It would appear that Gabourey Sidibe’s appetite for even pictures has eroded as well.

Yesterday, the actress posted a picture on her Instagram Stories, where she and her boyfriend, Brandon Frankel, posed for a selfie.

In the photo, Brandon looked pretty enthusiastic about taking the snap, but Gabby’s face is as uninterested as can be.

Gabby explained in the caption that he wanted to take a picture while she wasn’t so interested. From the way their faces and poses are, it’s pretty easy to discern that.

Gabby and Brandon seem to have had a whirlwind romance so far. While they’ve not been dating for up to a year, it’s been a pretty exciting ride so far. It sure looks like Brandon has been the answer to Gabby’s wishes.

They both rang in the new year together, marking their first new years as a couple.

Two years ago, she opened up about her struggles with weight loss and how she would have loved to find the perfect partner for her. Speaking after the launch of her memoir, "This Is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare," she said:

“...Every single person that I hang out with is either a gay man or a woman, and neither one of those people are gonna {expletive} me. Or marry me...”

Then, she found Brandon, and everything seems to be going smoothly. The couple has been together since at least May 2019, and they’ve gushed over each other several times.

While Gabby is usually off acting or promoting some other venture, Brandon is a marketing and entertainment consultant. Regardless of their busy careers, however, they’ve been able to keep things together.

The couple is also fiercely private about their relationship, and they’ve only made social media posts once in a while. When they have done so, however, it’s been all shades of sweet and adorable.

They both rang in the new year together, marking their first new years as a couple. At the time, Brandon shared a picture of the two of them wearing matching “King and Queen” shirts, on his Instagram.

In the post, he expressed how thankful he is for Gabby, adding that she’s been a ball of sunshine whose love has brightened his heart.

Sidibe responded with an overly emotional comment, adding that he’s her favorite love song and has made her happier than ever.
