Marques Houston of ‘Sister, Sister’ Can't Wait to Marry Girlfriend Miya

'Sister, Sister' star Marques Houston shared a throwback picture of himself at a wedding with his girlfriend Miya and gushed over their upcoming nuptials.

Marques Houston is a man in love and can't help sharing his adoration for his fiancée, Miya. Recently, he shared a throwback picture from a wedding they had attended and gushed:

"#Happy. A little throwback to when the world was normal. At a friend's wedding! We're next baby I can't wait."

The couple looked stunning in matching outfits; Marques was dressed in a black tuxedo with a white bowtie. Miya wore a white gown that had a plunging neckline.

Many of his fans shared their excitement about the news of their engagement. One fan cheekily hinted at an invite to the wedding.

The attention on her dress had some people pointing out that she made a huge fashion mistake by wearing white to a wedding.

The throwback picture is from a wedding Miya and Marques attended in July 2019. Despite the backlash over the white gown, photos from the wedding showed many guests wearing the same color scheme.

The photos have held a special place in Marques' heart, who at the time admitted that a headshot taken of them was one of his favorite pictures he has of them together.

The couple has been dating since 2018. According to Essence, Marques hand-picked the princess cut diamond ring he gave to his future bride.

Years before they started dating, Marques had turned his life to God. The two are both religious, and Miya shared in an Instagram post celebrating their engagement that she felt God brought them together.

Marques proposed to Miya in March 2019. The couple rode on white horses while enjoying the sunset over a beach in Los Angeles, California.

Shortly after the proposal, she thanked her best friend and Marques' best friend Chris Stokes for helping to make their engagement a memorable experience.
