Marques Houston, better known for his role as Roger Evans in the ’90s sitcom “Sister, Sister,” looks dapper in new pics shared to Instagram from his 2020 Memorial of Christ’s service
Like many other celebrities, Marques Houston is trying to keep a sense of normalcy amid the quarantine set in place to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The actor and music executive, who belongs to the Jehovah’s witness church, couldn’t leave his home to celebrate the traditional Memorial of Christ’s service on Wednesday, but that didn’t stop him.
A SPECIAL CELEBRATION AT HOME
Houston took to Instagram to share pics from the special celebration night he and his girlfriend Miya had at home, as they watched an online service like many others who share their faith.
Last year, Houston announced he asked his girlfriend for marriage after five months dating, and she gladly said yes.
Houston dressed up for the occasion, donning a black suit with a white shirt and a tie, while Miya looked gorgeous wearing a blue floral dress with silver hoop earrings and sandals.
The pair posed together in front of a table where they set up the bread and two glasses of wine that are used to celebrate the religious tradition.
“So amazing that even in these times, we still find a way to get together and commemorate the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
TOGETHER IN THE DISTANCE
Houston also shared a collage with pics from some of his family members and friends who also celebrated the memorial at home while social distancing.
The 38-year-old mentioned in his caption that it was an enjoyable experience being who his loved ones—in the distance—while celebrating “the importance of Our Lord Christ Jesus and his sacrifice for mankind.”
Houston has been sharing his journey as a Jehovah’s Witness since 2016, when he posted pics of himself going door to door and preaching the good word while “doing Jehovah’s work.”
Other celebrities who partake in the religion are Serena Williams, Donald Glover, and the late Prince and Michael Jackson.
HOUSTON IS ENGAGED
Throughout his time in the entertainment industry, Houston has been romantically linked to singer Jamila “Mila J” Chilombo and his “You Got Served” co-star Jennifer Freeman, with whom he had a short engagement.
Last year, Houston announced he asked his girlfriend for marriage after five months dating, and she gladly said yes.
Miya shared pics from the couple’s engagement photoshoot at the beach, showing off her massive diamond ring, and added in a heartwarming caption:
“Today I said ‘yes’ to my Bestfriend. I said yes to a new beginning. I said yes to my spiritual head. I said yes to loving you forever and forever, baby.”
Although Houston and Miya have been engaged for over a year now, it is not clear if they have wedding plans ready, and how the quarantine will affect those plans.
