Chante Moore & Ex Kenny Lattimore's Son Recently Celebrated His 17th Birthday
Ex-lovers Chante Moore and Kenny Lattimore recently celebrated their son, KJ’s, 17th birthday through sweet Instagram posts.
In two separate Instagram posts, both Kenny Moore and Chante Lattimore took to social media to write their very own dedications for their 17-year-old son.
AN INTERVIEW WITH MOORE
Moore posted a video of her alongside her son in a seemingly live interview within their home. In the clip, Moore acted as the interviewer and asked KJ random questions related to his very special day.

When asked about his wishes for his “COVID Birthday,” KJ quickly responded by wishing for “No COVID.” Moore continued to ask her son what he hoped to receive, to which he replied a Nintendo Switch, adding that his mom will buy it.
Towards the end of the video, the singer-songwriter simply hugged the teen and said: “Happy birthday, son. I love you madly.”
The couple tied the knot on March 8, 2020, at the First Congressional Church in Los Angeles.
The proud parent also mentioned that she always makes it a point to be the best mom, but KJ always made it easy for her.
A SWEET TRIBUTE FROM LATTIMORE
On the other hand, Lattimore certainly didn’t shy away from the intimate father-son birthday message. In a heartfelt post, Lattimore shared a photo of him and KJ rocking classic black and white tuxedos.
The “For You” singer’s caption began by giving his son a warm greeting, and then thanked him for all the joy the teen brought to Lattimore’s life. He added:
“I had to balance being your dad & protector with allowing you to grow up & learn some life lessons on your own. At some point, I had to trust God with your mind.”
The soul and R&B singer expressed that while it was KJ’s birthday, he felt like he received a gift upon knowing that his son wanted to be just like him.
LIFE AFTER DIVORCE
Nine years after their wedding in 2002, Moore and Lattimore called it quits, but remained devoted to caring for their son.
However, keeping his father duties didn’t prevent Lattimore from finding love once again. After almost ten years since his divorce, the artist married Faith Jenkins.
The couple tied the knot on March 8, 2020, at the First Congressional Church in Los Angeles. Jenkins looked beautiful in a strapless white gown and sheer veil, while her groom wore a double-breasted tuxedo with gold buttons.
His newfound love has allowed him to share insights on what he’s learned from his relationships, emphasizing the need to be on the same page, and, of course, honesty.
Despite his divorce, Lattimore keeps faith on top of everything. In an interview with CBN News, he shared that reading the scripture has genuinely inspired his life, allowing it to guide him every step of the way.
He believes that one of the most profound Bible verses he read in Luke 10: 19 allowed him to cope with his divorce, and continue to believe in the sanctity of marriage in the future.
