Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Reportedly Plan to Spoil Their Twins on Their 9th Birthday
Former couple Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's twins will be turning nine on April 30, and the parents are reportedly trying to figure the best way to celebrate the birthday amidst the ongoing self-isolation.
The first case of the novel coronavirus was in December 2019. In the months that have followed, it has become a global health crisis that has forced cities around the world into lockdown.
Many shows have been canceled, and even sporting events have been either postponed or outrightly canceled. And now it seems two 9-year-olds might just not be celebrating their birthdays as they are used to.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, will be turning 9 in a few days. Still, there will be no big family party this time around due to the ongoing self-isolation and strict social distancing measures.
Apart from that, Mariah and Nick always celebrate their twins' birthday together, but this time it's quite impossible as Mariah is self-isolating with the kids in New York while Nick is in Los Angeles. A source close to the former couple told HollywoodLife:
"The twins are still going to get spoiled on their birthday... Nick and Mariah will throw them a huge party with all their friends."
With New York State extending its shutdown to May 15, the odds are stacked against the family reuniting for the twins' birthday.
Back in March, legendary singer, Mariah Carey turned 50, and she celebrated her birthday in her New York home with her kids. Celebrating the milestone, the 50-year-old singer took to Instagram to post a series of pictures.
Earlier in the year, the rapper opened up about his views on marriage.
In one of the pictures, the award-winning singer dressed to the nines as she posed behind a homemade chocolate cake decorated with candles and the number 12. Sharing the pictures, Carey wrote in the caption:
"Spent 3.27 at home with my family and virtually with fans and friends from all over the world.#eternally12."
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey has been making the most of her time in self-isolation with her twins.
The iconic singer shared a clip of her styling her daughter's eye-catching pink wig, on her IG story. Mariah Carey curiously had a black face mask on, and she captioned the post "passing time in quarantine."
Nick Cannon, on his part, has been self-isolating in Los Angeles. Earlier in the year, the rapper opened up about his views on marriage during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Nick revealed that he doesn't believe in marriage because he isn't good at it. He further explained that he is firmly focused on fatherhood and his career.
