Rockmond Dunbar of 'Soul Food' Pays Tribute to Wife of 7 Years Maya on Her Birthday

Talented actor, Rockmond Dunbar's wife, celebrated her birthday recently, and the proud husband took to his Instagram page to celebrate the mother of his kids beautifully.

If there is one man who is incredibly in love with his wife, then that has to be actor Rockmond Dunbar. The "Prison Break" star gushes on his wife at every given opportunity, and it's clear how highly he values her.

Before marrying actress, Maya Gilbert, Dunbar was previously married to Ivy Holmes, but the marriage didn't work out and crashed after only three years.

Dunbar has been married to Maya for over seven years, and the couple shares four children, daughter Berkeley Seon, 6, and sons, Czar, 4, Pharaoh, 2, and Sultan, 11 months.

Maya recently became a year older, and the "Son of Anarchy" star took to his Instagram account to celebrate his wife on her special day. Dunbar, 47, shared a picture of them on their wedding day and penned down a sweet message. He wrote in the caption:

"EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED, NEEDED, AND DREAMED FOR, CAME TRUE WHEN I MET YOU. Always and forever baby because the sun rises and sets... HAPPY BORN DAY, My Queen..."

The couple is currently self-isolating with their four children, and so any celebration will be an in-house family affair. Dunbar proposed to actress Maya Gilbert while the pair were on a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, on December 30, 2012.

He was met by cheers from his colleagues when he returned to continue shooting.

After Maya said "Yes," the couple entered into a contest to win a fully sponsored celebrity wedding at the Empire state building in New York City. The prize also included an all-expense-paid honeymoon to Anguilla.

The couple got married in 2013 and welcomed their first child, daughter Berkeley Seon on December 6, 2013. The proud father took to his Twitter account to announce the news to his followers. He wrote:

"Mom is doing great. We are absolutely in LOVE with our daughter!"

Dunbar was on the set of the CBS crime drama series "The Mentalist," when he welcomed his daughter, and he was met by cheers from his colleagues when he returned to continue shooting. Since the birth of their daughter Berkeley, the couple has expanded their family with three boys, Czar, Pharaoh, and Sultan.

Dunbar, who revealed during a 2012 interview how he initially wanted to be an attorney, has enjoyed an illustrious career spanning over two decades with several film and television credits to his name.

Today, the TV star remains one of the most recognized figures in the entertainment industry, and with a beautiful family, things can only get better for him.
