RHONY's Dorinda Medley Says Splitting from John Mahdessian Was Painful

"The Real Housewives of New York City" star, Dorinda Medley, has opened up about her unexpected break up with her longtime boyfriend, John Mahdessian. The pair called it quits after seven years together.

Dorinda Medley addressed her shocking split from her boyfriend John Mahdessian, during a recent episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City," People has reported.

The reality star noted that although the breakup had upset her, she was over the relationship and was ready for the next phase of her life as she has to do what's best for her now.

John caused fans to wonder about the real position of things when he posted a picture of him and Dorinda at a friend's birthday party in 2019.

The 55-year-old, however, stated that although endings are painful, they can sometimes be considered "good" if they are "healthy and needed." While speaking to the cameras, Dorinda stated that:

"I have a feeling if I didn't do this, it would just keep staying plateaued for 10 years, 15 years. And then what?"

It would be recalled that the speculation that John and Dorinda were done with each other after being in a seven-year relationship, began back in September 2019. However, it wasn't until earlier this month that Dorinda hinted that the rumors were true.

According to Cheat Sheet, during an interview on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," a viewer wanted to know where John was since Dorinda was quarantined in her Berkshires home.

While she didn't specifically mention that she and John were no longer together, she did say that he wasn't quaratining with her. Explaining to the viewer, she said, " you're going to see during the show that things take a big change during the season. And that's part of what you're going to see."

Then, she went on to add that although he wasn't staying with her, she had spoken to him.

The "Real Housewives of New York City" star's shady response came soon after Heavy noted that John caused fans to wonder about the real position of things when he posted a picture of him and Dorinda at a friend's birthday party in 2019.

The "About last night with my Love" captioned photo quickly got people talking in the comment section as they pointed out that the post was John's way of shutting down the breakup rumors.

As it turned out, that was the last time that the 54-year-old shared any posts relating to his relationship with the reality star. Meanwhile, Dorinda has not provided her followers with any updates about her love life.
