Meghan Markle and Prince Harry crashed a health charity staff zoom meeting, much to the delight of its employees.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised a group of charity staff after they jumped on to a zoom staff meeting. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry jumped on to a meeting being held by the “Crisis Text Line” that was being held to discuss the importance of mental health.
Rick Neal, one of the company’s Atlanta based employees, managed to snap a picture of the meeting and shared it on Twitter.
The photo shows Rick smiling with the royal pair on his computer screen as well as a number of other “Crisis Text Line” workers. He wrote,
“Still shocked that Meghan and Harry took over our staff meeting and champion the work we do! Blessed to still be working in these crazy times!”
“Crisis Text Line” is a charity that works to help people in crisis. This involves a text-based service that offers free support, 24/7 for anyone who needs to talk.
Last May, E reported that Meghan and Harry had teamed up with Prince William and Kate Middleton to launch a similar helpline in England called “Shout.”
Harry and Meghan are fans of surprising members of the public.
The four shared a joint statement during the launch and expressed their excitement at the work they had been doing behind the scenes.
They spoke of their excitement to launch the service, praising its potential to reach thousands of vulnerable people adding,
“At the heart of this service will be an incredible national volunteer community, one which needs to grow to allow us to support more people in crisis.”
It seems that Harry and Meghan are fans of surprising members of the public as the former “Suits” star recently surprised a young woman ahead of her job interview.
The couple has always advocated for programs providing critical services to those in need and regularly work with different organizations.
Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan are staying in California in a home owned by Tyler Perry with their son Archie. Meghan Markle recently celebrated her son’s birthday while quarantined by baking a cake and holding video calls with loved ones.
