Stephanie Mills Takes Fans Back to 80s with Nostalgic Performance of Her Hit Song 'Home'
While in quarantine, Stephanie Mills took a walk down memory lane and shared one of her performances from the ‘80s.
Stephanie Mills just reminded her fans and followers of the powerful voice she has had since the ‘80s with a recently posted social media post.
MILLS’ THROWBACK VIDEO
The singer posted a video of her performance “where it all began” from nearly four decades ago. In the clip, Mills took the stage and sang her hit song, “Home.”
Several comments praised the singer’s voice and applauded her for the many years she spent in the industry as an entertainer.
“One of the best best vocals I heard in a lonnnnng time,” one fan said, while another called Mills a “living legend.”

The “Something in the Way” singer shot to fame in the Broadway production “The Wiz,” taking on the role of Dorothy. However, she began performing at the young age of nine, in the show “Maggie Flynn.”
While several social media users attacked the “Stay With Me” singer for his opinion, Mills was the only star who joined the sea of critics.
MILLS’ SUCCESSFUL CAREER
Her career became a whirlwind of success in the coming years, especially when she turned to R&B and Disco music in the ‘80s.

Within ten years, Mills had five hits that reached number one, including “Something in the Way,” “A Rush on Me,” “I Feel Good All Over,” “I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love,” and “Home.”
In 1981, the artist won a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for her song “Never Knew Love Like This Before.”

News recently surfaced about Mills’ upcoming performance alongside The Whisperers at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in January 2021.

Mills is known for her outspoken personality, which often makes her appear as a feisty woman on social media.

On one occasion, she slammed Sam Smith for not liking the late Michael Jackson, which was accidentally caught on camera by his friend, Adam Lambert.
While several social media users attacked the “Stay With Me” singer for his opinion, Mills was the only star who joined the sea of critics.
The award-winning singer’s defense came strong as she wrote a paragraph calling out and offending Smith for his personal opinion, which he did not mean to broadcast publicly.
