Jodie Turner-Smith Shares Ultra-Rare Photo of Her Only Daughter with Joshua Jackson

The Hollywood starlet gave fans a rare new peek at her little girl in a heartwarming social media update.

"Queen and Slim" star Jodie Turner-Smith has once again captured hearts — this time with a rare, tender glimpse of her five-year-old daughter, Juno, shared in a new behind-the-scenes look at her time on the set of Taylor Swift's "Opalite" music video.

In a carousel of snapshots posted to social media, the British actress appears in full '80s workout glam, striking poses in a pink-and-blue leotard and leading a group of fellow models in a choreographed dance class. But it was the final image — a heart-melting photo of her daughter wrapped in an embrace with the pop megastar herself — that stole the show.

"Continue to be in awe of you @taylorswift 💕🫂," she wrote. "Your creativity, your intelligence, your wit, your generosity, your grace. I had so much fun doing this, and the entire time i was thinking 'taylor directing me again when??'! 🥹 [sic]"

Jodie shares Juno with her ex-husband, "Dawson's Creek" alum Joshua Jackson. The pair welcomed their daughter in April 2020 — less than a year after their secret wedding.

They first met in 2018 at Usher's 40th birthday party, just before filming began on Jodie's career-defining breakout role in "Queen and Slim". What began as a fleeting connection quickly turned serious — a fast-burning love affair that took both by surprise.

"Everything happened at the same time for me," she revealed in a 2023 interview. "It was like, I fell in love right before I started this movie that would basically change my life, and then by the time I was putting this movie out I was pregnant, I was secretly married and I was trying to have one moment and not let the other moment overshadow it, which is why I tried to keep it secret."

But the couple's desire for privacy was quickly challenged.

Back in August 2019, Jodie and Joshua were spotted picking up what appeared to be a marriage license in Beverly Hills. Adding fuel to the fire were damning rumors — that just weeks earlier, Joshua had been seen kissing another woman at LAX.

Two days before that alleged sighting, he'd been spotted with Jodie in New York. The scandal set off a media frenzy, with speculation swirling that the couple had broken up — only for their marriage to be confirmed later that year.

Despite the whispers, their bond deepened. And in a surprise twist, it was Jodie who popped the question.

Joshua revealed during a 2021 appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" that Jodie proposed during a New Year's Eve vacation in Nicaragua.

"I did not know, but she was quite adamant and she was right," he replied when asked if he knew the proposal was coming. "This is the best choice I ever made."

Jodie also gushed about her then-husband in interviews.

"I’m really in love with my husband. That might be weird for people, but I'm doing a pretty good job of not shouting that from the rooftops as much as I would like to," she said.

"He's a really amazing dude. It's only gotten better and I feel so grateful for that," she added. "[...] I feel so lucky to be in a relationship with somebody who feels the same about me, who is not shy about telling me that or uplifting me."

But by 2023, it was clear the fairy tale had started to unravel. Jodie filed for divorce in October of that year. By May 2025, the couple had finalized the split — agreeing to joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, with equal timeshare.

Still, tensions remained — especially over Juno's education.

In May 2025, new court filings revealed that Joshua had requested an emergency custody modification. He argued that their daughter belonged in a traditional school environment, not being taught by tutors while traveling with Jodie on set.

"I do not think that on location tutoring could approximate the importance of what Juno has received by attending school and being in a consistent peer environment this year," he wrote. "Her social and emotional development (and her academic achievement) this year have been truly extraordinary."

He also claimed Jodie had enrolled Juno in a new kindergarten program for the fall — over 45 minutes from his home, and without his consent.

But court documents obtained by People tell a different story. According to Jodie, the former couple had already signed a 2024 agreement stating that she would have final authority on Juno's school, provided she first consulted Joshua.

In his emergency filing, Joshua respectfully requested orders requiring that Juno remain at her current school for the 2025–2026 year, and that future school changes require joint consent.

Later that year, in October, he and Jodie had been scheduled for a divorce trial — but reportedly called it off as they worked together privately toward a custody arrangement.

According to documents obtained by People, the pair were back at the table, negotiating in good faith for the sake of their daughter.
