This is the reality of singer Katy Perry, who made candid confessions about how she's handling being pregnant amid the pandemic during an interview with Radio.com.
Katy Perry confessed that she doesn't mind waiting a little bit longer before welcoming her bundle of joy.
As reported by US Weekly, the Grammy Nominee explained that just like everyone else, she has a tough time coming to terms with being pregnant, working on her fifth studio album, and dealing with the global health issue.
The "Daisies" crooner who is isolating in Los Angeles with her fiancee Orlando Bloom, his 9-year-old son, Flynn, alongside two of her young nieces, explained her struggle saying:
"I definitely lock myself in my parked car in front of my house and cry sometimes, just like everyone else does."
Perry revealed that she spirals a little bit every day because the perfectionist in her isn't able to plan appropriately. To make things worse, Los Angeles extended its lockdown until August, leaving her with more uncertainties than ever.
However, Katy noted that she has been able to pinpoint her struggle "to the uncertainty of being pregnant for the first time" and is taking daily steps to remain positive.
This comes after People Magazine disclosed that Katy revealed that her daughter has been kicking ferociously during the Disney/Mother's Day-themed episode of American Idol on May 10.
The judge, who was dressed as Disney's character, Dumbo's mom, Mrs. Jumbo, explained that she was "feeling a little large and in charge."
The mom-to-be also confessed that although she has always been a mother figure to those around her, she understands that having a child of her own means she's "about to step into the next level."
It will be recalled that Katy first shared the news of her pregnancy with Bloom on March 5 in the music video of her song, "Never Worn White," where she happily cradled her bump.
On April 5, she and Bloom then disclosed that they were expecting a girl with a photo of the English actor covered in pink cream from their intimate gender reveal party.
Although the 35-year-old is thrilled about becoming a mom for the first time, People Magazine noted that Katy Perry confessed that she doesn't mind waiting a little bit longer before welcoming her bundle of joy.
She explained that she was grateful for not giving birth anytime soon and would love to take things one day at a time.
