Corbin Bleu Is Happily Married to Sasha Clements — Inside the Disney Child Star's Personal Life
"High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu took a leaf right out of a Disney fairytale story when he proposed to his sweetheart Sasha Clements. The two have been together for nearly a decade, and they are a perfect fit for each other.
Love is a beautiful thing, and it is all the more special when two young people can plan a future with their hearts beating as one. Young love is often complicated and barely survives the early stages of attraction, but that's not the story with Corbin and Sasha.
The lovebirds have not fallen to the damning statistic, but instead, their love has continued to blossom since they met in 2011. Here is an inside scoop into their incredible love story.
CORBIN BLEU AND SASHA CLEMENTS' LOVE STORY
Corbin Bleu met actress Sasha Clements in 2011 at a grocery store in Toronto, Canada. Corbin Bleu's wife, Sasha Clements, is an actress, and just like her beau, she has starred in several Disney Channel flicks including "How To Build A Better Boy," "Degrassi Don't Look Back." She also made guest appearances in "Really Me," "Rookie Blue," and "What's Up Warthogs!"
The pair continued their affiliation with "Disney" when they got engaged after dating for three years at Disney World in October 2014.
Corbin, 31, proposed to Sasha, 30, in front of the Cinderella castle at Orlando's Disney World. He later took to his Instagram page to share the great news with his fans.
He posted a picture of Sasha's hand, flaunting a beautiful diamond ring. The actress also shared the same photo on her Instagram.
Sasha sought the help of the famous pair Randy Fenoli and Pninnai Tornai on the TLC series "Say Yes to The Dress" in picking out the perfect wedding dress for her big day.
The talented actress went hunting for a "sexy and classy" dress and was accompanied by a few family members. Corbin made a brief appearance but left before he got to see the dress he didn't intend to see before.
CORBIN BLEU SHARES A LITTLE TOO MUCH IN WEDDING VOWS
Corbin Bleu and Sasha Clements tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on July 23, 2016, at Hummingbird Nest in Santa Susana, California. Corbin Bleu's wedding was a very private classy event attended by 160 guests, including close friends and family members.
The newlyweds wowed their guests with their first dance, a sexy salsa number choreographed by Corbin's dance partner Karina Smirnoff, on "Dancing With The Stars" season 17.
However, the talking point of their wedding was Corbin's wedding vows, which was a bit over the top as to the intimate details he revealed about their sex life.
While making a guest appearance on "LIVEKellyandRyan," the talented actor opened up to Kelly Ripa about his much-talked wedding vow. Recalling his wedding vow, he said:
"I said I vow to pleasure you. And it created that! I kept going! I couldn't stop myself 'I want to make sure to push those buttons everyday.' And it just kept going!"
Although many people, including the studio audience, find the groom's vows a little awkward, Sasha didn't seem bothered; after all, she is the one at the receiving end of the pleasuring.
Meanwhile, the cute couple finally jetted out to Montego Bay, Jamaica, nearly 13 months after their nuptials for their honeymoon. They stayed at the Sandals Resorts Royal Caribbean Resort and Private Island in a private bungalow.
Corbin and his wife had a jolly good time, and while speaking to "Life & Style" about the romantic getaway, the "Broadway" star said:
"This was the long getaway we'd been waiting for."
CORBIN BLEU'S CAREER
Corbin Bleu's love for the arts began right from his childhood, and he started his foray into the entertainment industry as a child with a particular focus on ballet and jazz.
The child star made his professional theatre debut in an off-Broadway production titled "Tiny Team is Dead."
In 1996, at the age of seven, Corbin moved to Los Angeles from New York with his parents, where his career began to take off with small roles in movies like "Galaxy Quest" and "Mystery Men."
Corbin got his career breakthrough when he starred in the "High School Musical" in 2006. The Disney flick was a worldwide hit and catapulted Corbin and his co-stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale to fame.
In 2010, the former "Dancing With The Stars" contestant made his Broadway debut in the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical "In the Heights" that paved the way for more features on Broadway productions like "Holiday Inn," "Godspell," "Singin' in the Rain," and more recently "Kiss Me Kate." While speaking to RADIO.COM, about returning to Broadway, Corbin said:
"I have to come back to the theatre at least every couple of years because you feel really alive in this theatre, in any theatre. You cannot get the same experience in film and television."
WHERE ARE THE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL STARS NOW?
The 2006 Disney film "High School Musical" enjoyed unprecedented success and shot the movie's casts into fame.
Perhaps the cast member who has benefited most from the massive success of the film is Zac Efron. The hunky actor has enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom since 2006, starring in movies like "That Awkward Moment," "Dirty Grandpa," "Baywatch," and more recently the actor starred as Ted Bundy in Netflix's "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile."
Vanessa Hudgens has also gone on to enjoy a productive acting career starring in movies like "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," and "Spring Breakers."
Her most recent movie role was in the Netflix production called "The Knight Before Christmas." Ashley Tisdale has also enjoyed a successful acting and singing career. The businesswoman also married musician Christopher French in 2014.
